History nut ,   Israel   (04.02.14)
The original matza was soft and everyone made it, but business is business.

6. Not eating leaven for the ENTIRE MONTH OF NISAN is more
Rivkah   (04.02.14)
pleasing to ELohim than not eating leaven for the week of Passover I have found. When I avoided leaven (yeast) for the entire month of Nisan (Aviv, Abib), ELohim revealed Himself to me in a more intimate spiritual way of approval than He did when I avoided leaven for only a week. In fact, when I ate leaven the last day of Nisan last year, I felt ELohim's outrage and then His intimacy spiritually. That showed me ELohim does not want His people to eat leaven the entire month of Nisan and eating leaven even on one day of Nisan upsets ELohim. Then I knew who much He appreciates a greater sacrifice than just a week of avoiding leavened foods.
7. Playing the holy man routine again
Peter ,   Jerusalem   (04.02.14)
Cant lead the jewish state without looking the part once in a while. Saddam used to do it in his final years. Went from secular strongman to Ayatollah. No one bought it.

The whole reason for bringing us our of Egypt was to bring us into and give US the land of ISRAEL!!!!!! So superficial to make matzot for your belly and not understand the higher lesson.

11. What ? cant he afford to buy prepared Matsot

12. #6 Rivkah or whoever give us a break.
History nut ,   Israel   (04.03.14)
Originally it was sourdough leaven that those in the covenant were to avoid for a week. Guess what? It still is. Adding to Torah has never been allowed. Whatever you were smoking instead of eating leaven must have affected your intimacy hormones.
13. 6 Wrong ,like a Mezuza on a church !
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (04.04.14)
Jews are not allowed to eat Matsot three weeks before Pessah.
14. #13 Ora and Rivkah, both adding to Torah
History nut ,   Israel   (04.04.14)
Ora forbids contrary to Torah and Rivkah adds contrary to Torah. You can eat matsot before Pesakh, there is no prohibition in Torah. This is where what you assume to be halakha was merely a wrong opinion of a rabbi or whoever. You might actually practice before Pesakh to make a soft matzah that tastes good. That would be what the avot ate.
15. 12, 13, 14...Prayer and fasting are never against Torah.
Rivkah   (04.04.14)
If a person wishes to be on a leaven fast all year, that is approved of Elohim. There is a week in Nisan that it is imperative to have a leaven fast if one wishes to obey Torah on fasting during Passover. But to do more than is required is excellent to Elohim. That does not change Torah. It brings a person closer to Elohim. You will all miss out on that closeness to Elohim since you only do what is required if you do that. It is like paying tithes which is required. You can pay more which is more excellent to Elohim like the widow who gave all her living although it was only two mites (pennies). That so touched Elohim that when His Son Yahoshua died, two pennies were put on his eyes which show on the resurrection Shroud of Turin when Yahoshua supernaturally resurrected after three days. The poor widow gave 100%. But beware not to give what you don't have. Don't be surety for a stranger by borrowing to help someone else since that is debt which is bondage that Elohim does not approve of.
16. 12, 14: It is not adding to the Torah to fast and pray more
Rivkah   (04.05.14)
than is required. The Torah requires one week of fasting from leaven, but to fast more than that is approved by Elohim who asks that His people fast and pray as a lifestyle. Fasting does not have to be one thing or all foods but it can be either. A nurse in Israel named Inna Medvedev told me she only fasts for one day, the day of Passover. One day of leaven fasting is not what the Torah requires. It is a week. But she is content with one day as many others are which is certainly contrary to the Torah. But to fast longer than a week is not adding to the Torah. It is being submissive to Elohim's command to fast an pray as a lifestyle that is pleasing to Him.
17. 14 , It's a minhag in some communities
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (04.05.14)

19. 17 Charles,wrong!."Not acceptable"
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (04.05.14)
is one of the meanings of " not allowed.' It is written in the "Michne Berurah" Your last answer to split was indeed "tov meod" as some one wrote you. Shavuah Tov,Charles.
20. Ora , not eating matsot three weeks before Pesach
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (04.05.14)
is only a Minhag , nothing more , not a Tora law . Is it written in the Shulchan Aruch that you may not eat matsot the three weeks before Pesach ?
21. 20 Charles,i am impressed
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (04.05.14)
How do you know it is not written in the Chulchan Aruch ?
22. Ora , regarding this rivka
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (04.06.14)
Don't you know that she's NOT Jewish at all ? She's writing here since years , always with Hebrew words , but used as a Christian . She needs appropriate therapy , maybe it's not too late .
23. Ora ,
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (04.06.14)
The Chatam Sofer said three weeks , Karo in the Schulchan Aruch does not talk about it . Other sources say not to eat matsot on the 14th [ Nissan ] And here also two position . Some say not to eat matsot from the Amida Schacharit , other from the eve before I made some research . But I knew that it is a Minhag . Have a fine week , and a Kosher Pesach

ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (04.06.14)
28. Ora , you didn't succeed ?
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (04.07.14)
That's impossible , it's so easy . Don't you have Google in your "favorites" ? There is Google maps too , where you have "street view" , to watch all the places where you lived . I made a virtual tour in our birth town . Great to see this bakery ! Niam niam ! I'll be there this summer .
29. 28 Charles I asked the question..
