1. Wimp
(04.09.14)
What a loser, what a wimp. How about some real sanctions? Stop VIP treatment of PLO and PA officials. Stop IDF suppression of Hamas operating Areas B and C in Judea and Samaria as long as they operate against the Fatah terror group and Holocaust denier Dr. Abbas. Start enforcing the law on illegal Arab building area C, according to the Oslo agreements. Ensure 24/7 Jewish access to Joseph's tomb.

Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (04.09.14)
He just relegated Abbas to the company of women. That's a pretty strong insult in Arab society. A stinging slap in the face. Long time coming, too -- Abbas needs to learn his place.

9. Let us hope the Israeli government's act is the first step
N.L.Katz ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (04.09.14)
toward annexing Area C based on the word and spirit alike of the late Mr. Yitzhaq Rabin as he presented it in his 5 Oct. 1995 speech at the Knesset. It ought to be noted that Rabin's views were fully anchored in international law and in all multilateral and bilateral signed agreements, unlike the Obama/Kerry approach which has been contrary to both. It is time to take the initiative into our hands and cease being the victims of the extortionists gang in Ramallah!!
10. If US thought that Netanyahu wants peace
Harri ,   EU   (04.09.14)
... they don't think anymore. Now the only problem for US, EU, Russia and China is how to punish Israeli government so that innocent Israelis don't suffer more than they have already suffered during Netanyahu government. I wonder if Netanyahu government has even that much friends that SA government had before collapse of Apartheid regime.

Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (04.09.14)
Oh, I'm a woman, alright. More woman than you will ever be, your best efforts to the contrary notwithstanding. I am not, Baruch Ha'Shem, an Arab woman. In Arab society, women rank somewhere below pigs. They are little more than chattel property; first owned by their father, then by their husband and, once widowed, to their son. Is that why you're so sympathetic to their plight, Darren bint John?
12. #10 And what exactly did Israel do that deserves punishing?
A ,   Belgium   (04.09.14)
Actually there is ONE thing; after being attacked by Jordan (and Egypt and Syria) in 1967, Israel should have immediatley booted out the Jordanian squatters in Judea and Samaria before they were reinvented as "palestinians". The mistake of allowing these Jordanian/"palestinians" to remain, nurture their terrorists and build their terrorist organizations, has been the greatest cause of innocent Israeli suffering, as it also was during the leftist Rabin government with the disasterous Oslo accords, the leftist Barak government, and the center-left Olmert government.
13. If you love Israel, DEMAND Livni be fired NOW!
Chaim ,   Israel   (04.09.14)
Livni does nothing but harm Israel. Her idiotic cease fire with Hizbullah cost Israel victory in Lebanon. She disgraced us at Annapolis. Livni is a walking disaster. If you love Israel, DEMAND Livni be fired NOW!

Alexander ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (04.09.14)
Yes Netanyahu and Israel want peace - not for Israel to rest in peace. Annihilating Israel as a Jewish nation state with a Jewish majority population and/or denying and stealing 4000 years of Jewish history in Israel and/or stealing the ancient homeland of the Jewish people isn't peaceful - it's genocide and imperialism, and that's why Israel and Jews oppose any "Peace deal" with the Arabs, because that "Peace deal" would imply genocide on Jews and an Arab conquest of our Jewish homeland - if that even concerns a liberal tolerant Peace loving and democracy aspiring European such as yourself Harri. Or maybe you are a Nazi posing a romantic freedom fighter? Most likely. And why would 145 million Russians, 1.4 billion Chinese, 300 million Americans and 500-700 million Europeans with ZERO Connection to the Arab-Israeli conflict - which has an insignificant impact on the rest of the World, pressure and terrorize 8 million Israeli Citizens out of which 80% are Jewish? Don't you Think Russia, China, Iran, Syria, North Korea, Pakistan, Sudan, Libya, Egypt, Lebanon are the pressing needs of the World Community? In what sense are we Israelis "suffering"? We Israelis voted for Netanyahu, and he is doing what he is supposed to do: protect Israel and punish our enemies. Problem is that he is way too soft. Mind your own business Harri. I'm loking forward to the day when the EU collapses under its own weight.
16. this is a mistake
zionist forever   (04.09.14)
There certainly should not be any contact with the PA whilst Abbas is being an uncompromising fool and going to the UN but the reality of being PM means it may be necessary in future to talk with the PA but by saying there will be no contact whatsoever Bibi has backed himself into a corner. With the likes of Bennet, Liberman and some of the hardliners in Likud in the coalition if Bibi has to talk with Abbas then these hardliners will probably dig in their heels and say if you want contact with Abbas we quit the coalition. Bennet has already threatened to quit the coalition a couple of times and Liberman has said elections before releasing the last batch of prisoners because the idiot thinks he has a chance at being next PM. If the stubborn fools like Liberman & Bennet do force an election and Labor win which is a very real possibility then new government policy will be there is no such thing as a price thats to high for peace and all Abbas will need to do is present a shopping list and he will get it. Bibi should not make promises that risk the coalition breaking down forcing another 1 billion shekel election after just 1 year in office.
