1. Neither Hamas nor PLO believe in
Israeli 2   (04.23.14)
Israel's right to exist. This is a wake up call during and after the Passover for all leftists and gentiles to realize that G-d's hand is in this farce negotiations.
2. Obama's US is condemned to be disappointed
CJK   (04.23.14)
obama's entire foreign policy has been a total disaster for his entire term in office. we have seen the muslim world implode, al qaeda spread throughout the world, putin's russia invade the ukraine and threaten europe, china threaten its neighbours, and obama's beloved arab palestinians have once again openly defied him and laughed in his face.
3. Blame the US
Ed ,   USA   (04.24.14)
There's plenty of blame being passed around. I blame Kerry: once he let it be known that the US would hold Israel responsible for a break down of peace talks, he gave the Palestinians a green light to do something that would insure there would be no peace.
4. The truth is that Fatah-Abbas
Sam ,   PT   (04.24.14)
is far worse than Hamas with Hamas being an open terrorist and Fatah the sly snake who has terrorized Israel much more than Hamas. Why are the brains of the left so warped and blinded?
5. why disappointed?
(04.24.14)
The US should be happy because now there is a chance for peace. Hamas is the democratically elected majority voice of their society. PLO represents a tiny minority of the most corrupt members of their society. Any agreement between Israel and PLO had no standing and no legal meaning. If PLO and Hamas negotiate with Israel together, any agreement will be valid.
6. The timing is perfect and I am not
Israeli 2   (04.23.14)
disappointed or surprised. Hamas and the PLO are all one and the same. They always were and will always be. A sigh of relieve is in order. Now all SMART Israelis must do is annex all territories and never again agree to "We have no choice" negotiations.
7. Sure, Arabs would unite with Hamas even after a Peace deal.
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (04.23.14)
8. Dissapointed
James ,   USA   (04.24.14)
Taking bets... The US, Obama will simply accept this and encourage Israel to continue to negotiate. Be real easy to see if the US is taking sides.
9. With Barry Soetoro at the helm they have nothing to fear!
tom ,   tel aviv   (04.24.14)
10. Does not conflict (WITH THEIR FINAL GOALS)... They will get
Nobody surprised!!!   (04.23.14)
Israel away from the Jews either this way (negotiations) or that way (war and terror!).
11. Hamas & Abbas, who gets thrown off the roof?
David ,   Hartford USA   (04.23.14)
I'd like to see Abbas on top of a Gaza high-rise building, discussing the finer points of flying without a plane. He's an idiot. Haniyeh will make Abbas have an 'unfortunate accident' within days of an agreement. Maybe Abbas forgot his fellow Fatah members who went flying off Gaza rooftops or who had their knees shotgunned. Mr. Abbas, we have no great love for you, but if you take the devil to bed, expect to wake up dead. The USA should announce the talks are over since Hamas is a recognized terror organization.
12. HOW MUCH MORE OF THIS WORLD MUST BLOW UP IN OBAMA'S FACE
stude ham   (04.23.14)
before this incompetent learns anything about geopolitics?
13. The PA removed its mask, and that's good!
Michael Redbourn ,   Lisbon Portugal   (04.23.14)
14. The Israel-Pal conflict is ripe for another Guinness record
Mark B. ,   Amsterdam / Holland   (04.24.14)
This time as the conflict having generated the greatest number of disappointments in the history of everything.
15. Labour's Herzog sides with the enemy
CJK   (04.23.14)
one is not surprised that galon of meretz blames netanyahu for the enemy's intransigence and refusal to negotiate or even talk with the israeli negotiators. however, one would expect better from labour's herzog. herzog should ask himself what david ben gurion would say under the circumstances.
16. #2 - Obama not the blame
spyguy ,   seattle usa   (04.24.14)
The REALITY is the Mid East is in turmoil BECAUSE of over 100 years of European and US oppression of the Mid East. When the British and French empires died, the US just continued the oppression instead of helping the locals get rid of the corrupt governments. Al Qaedia is a result of oppressive local governments supported by the "west." As for Russia and China, there is NOTHING short of a very stupid war that can prevent Russia and China from doing what they want. The US has NEVER had the ability to control the whole earth and GWB proved that very clearly with his losing wars in Afghanistan (where NO invader has ever won) and Iraq. CJK's re complaint is a black man is president of the US, nothing more.
