1. Time to take those Theifs to an international court.
Why   (04.29.14)
2. If Israel is an apartheid state
Israeli 2   (04.29.14)
then the United States is the most apartheid country with many states apart. There is so much underlying hatred and prejudice and racism in the USA, it is all camouflaged by regulations and facade. The whole world is apartheid.
3. Build Nuclear Shelters in AreaC
Zechariah   (04.29.14)
4. Annex Area C!
Ami ,   Tel Aviv   (04.29.14)
Economic sanctions are not the answer. Annex all of Area C now.
5. Sounds Fair: BDS Works Both Ways
emanon ,   USA   (04.29.14)
6. Now That Israel Has Made Reasonable Action
(04.29.14)
It's time for the USA to also make the logical step by CUTTING ALL FINANCIAL AID to the Fakenstians for their choice to make unilateral Decsions at the un, but Most importantly uniting with the TERRORISTS in gaza, fatah is Done and abu mazen can now Take his Millions and fade into oblvian!!!
7. Kerry's statements are ridiculous and quite frankly...
Alexander ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (04.29.14)
...I don't even have the patience to respond to his claims, since they have no connection to reality. Placing borders between countries is not apartheid at all, but segregation of racial groups within the same country, within the same borders, based on race laws and race regulations, is most definitely apartheid. Since this phenomenon doesn't exist in Israel - Israel can thusly be no apartheid state. Apartheid laws have existed in the USA against Afro-Americans (with whom I deeply sympathize) well into the 1950s and the 1960s. Kerry the anti-Semite should know better. Borders between nations exists everywhere on this planet and borders between independent states - "this is my land, here is the border, the land on the other side of the border, is yours. I live here, you live there" - is simply the normative state of affairs in the world. USA too has territorial borders and makes sure that Mexicans and Canadians need legal permission to enter US territory. On no level in Israel does apartheid exist - on no level whatsoever in any shape or form. The only possible apartheid might be the Moslem Al Waqf authority banning Jews from visiting the Jewish Temple Mount in the very heart of our 3000-year-old capital city of Jerusalem. This apartheid however seems to fit Kerry just fine. Speaking of real apartheid and genocide, we can refer directly to USA itself - and yes I understand that many of our American friends might feel offended that I refer to inconvenient historical facts regarding the history of the USA - but I can assure the Americans that I am indeed a friend of America - always have been and always will be. Anyways, lets get to the point: Native Americans have been massacred and slaughtered by White Christian Europeans, Africans have been brought as slaves on ships across the Atlantic, they have been slaves and they have been victimized by American racial laws since the inception of the United States, anti-African or anti-Black apartheid laws existed in the USA well into the 1950s and the 1960s, USA placed 100.000Japanese-Americans in concentration camps during WW2, USA harassed and bullied people who were supposedly "Communist" when in reality they weren't, and USA knew perfectly well of the Holocaust and did not do a thing to stop the Germans, or bombard the railways to to the concentration camps or to free the Jews. CIA has toppled several regimes since the 1950s until our days in Africa and Latin America, and American Soldiers committed horrific crimes in Vietnam - something Kerry - a Vietnam War Veteran, is painfully aware of. Should I go on Mr Kerry about America's glorious past, present and future, or will this suffice for this moment?
8. Israel starts hunger game
Harri ,   EU   (04.29.14)
You need wiser leaders.
9. So any lessons? Scratch the surface
Sammy ,   Newcastle   (04.29.14)
The one BIG mistake BOTH parties PA and Israel are making is adopting the Hamas WE DONT NEED THEM approach to relationships Because the sheer proximity, history, culture, ties...make it absolutely integral and NATURAL to have open, cooperative ties in the NATIONAL INTEREST And most Palestinians and most Israelis know that full well...but for a few on both sides who prefer to see permanent antagonism But scratch the surface and you will be surprised Even more telling....in private forums of Palestinians in the West Bank, UK, US and Canada..87% said that Palestinians HAD MORE OR AS MUCH IN COMMON with Israelis than any other Country in the Middle East Lets not throw it all away
10. To: No. 8
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (04.29.14)
You need to shut up. How it must pain you, seeing an economically powerful, militarily stupendous and technologically advanced Israel, while Europe gets sucked into the abyss. Too bad there are so few Jews left in Europe for you to blame everything on, eh? It absolutely thrills me to know that Europe's demise will happen in my lifetime, while Israel grows stronger and move vibrant with each passing day. Won't be long for you, now. Good riddance!
11. Kerry denies his own recorded words
CJK   (04.29.14)
kerry would do well to apologise to the jewish nation. his paultry attempt to dissimulate his huge gaffe will not serve him well. the entire world knows that his words were recorded at the meeting of the trilateral commission and the recording is now in the possession of the daily beast. it is most unwise to deny that which can easily be proven. throwing a tantrum will not solve matters, nor will silly denials. kerry needs to apologise and state that his statement was ill conceived. kerry needs to understand that his words as secretary can cause immense damage not only to israel but also to us credibility and prestege. kerry must learn some discipline when he speaks. that is the least one can expect from a diplomat, or so one hopes.
12. the coalition will collapse within weeks & then elections
zionist forever   (04.29.14)
Lapid wants to appease the Labor voters because a large number of traditional Labor voters chose Lapid last election because they thought he would do big things for the left and they didn't trust Shelly. They now feel betrayed by Lapid so he is talking about quitting the coalition if talks don't start which they are not going to do anytime soon. Bennet has backed himself into a corner and there is virtually no way now he can stay in the coalition if Bibi continues talks with Abbas especially now Abbas is patching things up with Hamas and joining UN bodies Bennets supporters are also demanding annexation of Judea & Samaria which is not an option if we don't want to inherit the arabs. Likud is infighting with the centre right saying negotiate and the hardliners saying annex and Bibi stuck in the middle of it all and to make tit all worse he has Kerry on his back who has actually said it would be better if the palestinians and Israel had new leadership. The coalition doesn't have a hope in hell of surviving more than 2-3 weeks.
13. My goodness Sarah B #10 . . .
Dean Concannon ,   Sydney, Australia   (04.29.14)
. . . you ARE such a little charmer, such a loose cannon with words and so desperately illogical. Without the support of the USA (which shows signs of getting really sick of Bibi in particular and Israel in general) and Europe, "vibrant" and democratic (ho, ho, ho) Israel would last less than 50 years. The Israeli Government is digging its own grave, can't seem to see it and refuses to stop digging.
14. Netanyahu the fool
(04.29.14)
Meaningless reversible sanctions. The real news is that Netanyahu has given a direct order freezing all Jewish building in Judea and Samaria. For reasons know only to him, Netanyahu refuses to defend Israel despite PLO's express decision to destroy Israel.
15. 13
y Allon ,   adelaide/Israel   (04.29.14)
By calling Sarah B a loose cannon with words is like calling the Sydney harbour a pond.Don't even try to mach "words" with Sarah-she could chastise you with one sentence-after all she is Jewish and not an infant with ho,ho,ho like you.
16. Hamas to instruct PA to raise taxes
Mark ,   London, UK   (04.29.14)
Maybe Hamas will show the PLO how to raise their own taxes without asking Israel to do it for them. They seem to manage this well enough in Gaza. Once the whole of WB has been brought to the levels of poverty seen in Gaza alongside millionaires they'll be happy.
17. Why cant your writers and our politicians"gat it"?
exUK ,   TEL AVIV   (04.29.14)
Most or all of the people criticizing policies of Israel, are very concerned that it is not only harming Israel long term, but also indirectly causing problems for the Jews of the Diaspora, many of whom are not pro or ant Israel, but who dont wish to be "blamed" by society for many Israeli policies that they can not endorse.. Before I came from the UK,I was often told" you are not entitled to criticize Israel unless you actually live there. But now I do live here,I am still shouted down when I attempt to express my (left?) opinions.,J street IS pro peace and pro Israel and believes that Israel is painting itself into a corner, and is expansionist, bowing to ultra right wing /religious people at the expense of the ordinary peace loving families on both sides.Good for Drug companies sale of antihypertensive tablets....but NOT good for Israel or peace.Witholding Arab funds will only harm the ordinary man,AND cause more resentment and creation of extremism.
18. So what
Giora Me'ir ,   USA   (04.29.14)
Steal their land, destroy their crops, ethnic cleanse them, deny them the right of self-determination, economic sanctions are nothing in comparison.
