Now he can safely become the second rapist president of Israel, after Moshe Katzav. Why can't Israel pick among the thousands of extraordinarily gifted, morally soaring citizens it has, a pesident who, like Shimon Peres, represents Israel with dignity and the highest ethical standards?

This man was never accused of rape by any person, so why are you making such a remark? Shalom has dedicated his life to public service and until this unidentified, faceless woman came forward with completely unsubstantiated accusations fifteen years after she "felt it was being suggested she perform an act", nobody ever had a thing to say against him. How many times in life work situation do men and women feel attraction for somebody else and that person feels the attraction. Since when are we putting people in prison for making passes at co-workers? Reprimand yes, persecution and accusations of rape when there are no charges and no further demands of such from the so called victim? No. I believe it was a political hit job.
