Israel has an elected leadership and it isn't obama, clinton, kerry or rice. Soon, obama will not be President and Israel is eternal. Never has Israel faced a more hostile former ally. Only one way to go... KEEP BUILDING ISRAEL FOR JEWS !! Eventually, obama will HAVE to get it.

If a business plan doesn't work....change it. Going obsessively over & over on the same failed plans won't make them any better. The so called ''peace process formula should be torn, a long pause should be put in place where a new concept should be thought out & formulated. The current businessplan has failed.
5. Face it! Pals only want all land from River to Sea
Alan ,   SA   (05.09.14)
They want an Arab majority by right of return or any natural demographics. They are happy to accept any "Peace mechanism" that in a couple of decades will lead to an Arab majority The USA of Obama and EU want a status quo to be established that will permit an Arab takeover in say 20 or 30 years.(as CIA scenario planners suggest) in the land from the River to the Sea. Unfortunately Israel is not playing ball,as far as they are concerned. That is the problem..

7. Abbas has never been focused on peace. He had been focus,
N.L.Katz ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (05.09.14)
instead, on how to advance to the next stage toward seeing Israel's demise and the "cleansing" of the national home of the Jewish people of its Jews, while circumventing the need to give anything. Sadly, from his perspective, we, Jews, have been caught up with his - and Arafat's before him - drive and have demanded that the PLO accept Israel's right to be, to exist as the sovereign nation-state of the Jewish people; and, that a peace treaty will be the end of the conflict and the end of all future demands. This has caused Abbas to first refuse to sit down and talk with the present Israeli government, and once having been "pushed" to talking, to ensure the talks tail. The only people who have been blind to this reality, sadly, are the Americans.

10. There is some truth
Sammy ,   Newcastle   (05.09.14)
There is no doubt that MOST of the points of differences in this Peace Process HAVE BEEN RECONCILED Yet we hear that Abbas, getting old, worn out and tired cant cope with the business of proper Statehood and simply wants to abrogate responsibility and retire in comfort...Who can blame him BUT the manner in which he is doing this is plan crazy First he proposes that we disband and he washes his hands of the West Bank and walks away giving the keys of the Palestine in the West Bank over to Israel! Then he proposes sharing or more like handing over power to Hamas to govern the West Bank instead So what great idea will he come up with next so he can unburden himself of all responsibility for the birth of our State But word is that there is a more sinister reason at play...The embittered man does NOT want to hand over succession to ANYONE in the PA OUT OF PIQUE RESENTMENT AND PETULANCE despite the fact that many of the younger politicians could lead the PA BETTER THAN HIM It may well be time for Abbas to step down...and out
11. But the comprmises HAVE BEEN REACHED
Sammy ,   Newcastle   (05.09.14)
As far as Borders and Settlements are concerned whilst both needs and priorities are completely different they both CONVERGE. Because Our Palestinian key interest is Maximising LAND AREA in the West Bank Israels key interest is Maximising Security around Jerusalem and its 'Narrow Belt' So for every unit of land that we relinquish there we get 5 units of land elsewhere from Northern Israel PLUS compensation PLUS the option to buy extra land from Israel and Jordan where possible So then Israels Settlement Construction Per Se which are always perceived as a SPOILER then doesn't become the big issue Because we know that in return we get 5 times the land in exchange! And Land Area in the West Bank is what we need more than Land Location Our interests are realised and Israels interests are realised Another case of where our differing priorities DO HAVE A COMMON SOLUTION
12. The Gut - Wrenching compromise of US - burn opponent alive
Miron ,   USA   (05.09.14)
and blame him for not being enough of an angel to be allowed to live. I hope present time US Administration has sufficient stockpile of cyanide on hand for own children. When fathers of those they are burning alive today come to there doors it might come handy, as Hitler and his friends once discovered.
13. Martin Indyk board member of NIF
Rod ,   Fargo N.Dakota   (05.09.14)
Is a board member of of the leftist New Israel Fund.Look up some of the NGO's virulently anti Israel NGO's many worse then Israel haters J street. This guys ties to the PLO began in the 80's.Funny this guy who lived in the U.K.,Australia and the U.S.and is giving advice on Israel's survival never served a day in the militaries of any of the 3 countries he resided in.
14. Pals come to talks for free money, prisoners, freeze, territory
Sam ,   Canada   (05.09.14)
Palestinians didn't get a freeze for nothing so they are unhappy. They want to keep the Jews out not make peace. The naive American mediators then take Palestinians at their word and blame settlements and try to frighten Israel with a bi-national state. Why not, since there are Jews too who try to frighten Israel with that rubbish. It's the status quo and Israel will continue to build the Jewish homeland because Palestinians reject a Jewish Israel.
15. Oil and Water Don't Mix. Any Attempt....
Reuven Brauner ,   Raanana, Israel   (05.09.14)
to do so will result in frustration and failure. Anyone who expects the impossible will be disappointed and disillusioned. But, who is to blame? The water or the oil? How about the idiot who thinks that the physically impossible is possible if both the water and the oil just try a little harder and compromise, each giving up on some of its basic characteristics. Of course, if they did change themselves somehow, neither would be water or oil any more, an equally absurd expectation. Why the water and the oil continue to put on a charade that they want to mix, is equally ridiculous.
16. Alternate headline:
Gideon Reader   (05.09.14)
Irritating little Quisling stamps his tootsie and pouts. He then does the :Look at me. I'm important" thingy and seeks media and leftist adoration. Indyk is indeed a dyck. Go now! He exists stage Left.

tTEL EM STRAIGHT ,   SAFED OBVIOUS   (05.09.14)
Mind your own business ,thankin' you.
18. Indyk
Harold ,   USA   (05.09.14)
The US should not have appointed Indyk in the first place. He and Dennis Ross are Jews, Zionists, Neocons and members of AIPAC. Obama and Kerry should find someone who is fair and balanced.
19. Israelis are messianic
Yechiel   (05.09.14)
The Arabs want peace but Israel wants to hold onto the 'Kotel' or 'Kever Rachel'. Israel worships ruins which they make very pretty and glorify. They should care more about the living! Israel should be strong and not give in to the settler Rabbis.
20. Is Indyk right or wrong?
(05.09.14)
Indyk blamed both sides, says that both sides failed to make "gut-wrenching compromises" and cited that "settlement building was a problem. It is clear that Indyk is wrong, because if he was right he would not resort to lying. Israel made "gut wrenching compromises" including filthy murderers who in the US would have been (justifiably) tortured and then executed. The "settlement building" issue did not torpedo the talks. There was no request precondition for a freeze on Jewish building from the Arab side, only from Israeli Leftists and American Jews. The pathetically minor amount of building is in areas that everyone agrees will remain Israeli if an agreement is reached. But most importantly: Abbas reiterated that the only agreement will involve destruction of Israel. The reality is that Indyk is not telling the truth.
21. Abbas signed a deal with Hamas, what's there to talk about?
Juha Teuvonnen   (05.09.14)
Hamas does not recognize Israel. They want Israel dead and gone. The PLO charter states the same. All of these negotiations are seen as tactical steps towards that goal by the Palestinian side. Unless the Palestinian side is willing to abandon their current position that "Israel should be destroyed", what's there to talk about?

Chaim ,   Israel   (05.09.14)
Israel needs more leaders, like Moshe Feiglin, to clearly state the truth. This tiny land is ours. Period. "Palestinian" poseurs have no national rights here whatsoever. We are not going to cede our sole Homeland in the name of Fictional Palestine.
