1. "Palestinian" narrative equals Nazi narrative.
Chaim ,   Israel   (05.11.14)
The "Palestinians" were close Nazi allies. The "Palestinian" Mufti of Jerusalem happily visited Nazi death camps. Along with the Arab League, they boastfully announced plans to mass murder Jews in 1948. And many times after 1948. Those who support the genocidal "Palestinian" narrative should be immediately deported.
2. This explains sick leftist mindset and policies..
Chaim ,   Israel   (05.11.14)
Why do Israeli leftists constantly echo the stance of Israel's genocidal foes? This article clarifies the answers. Deep in the core of their sick souls, they believe Israeli existence is wrong. Their destructive policies flow from this malignant mindset.
3. Arab students who study in Israeli universities marking
jose ,   raanana israel   (05.11.14)

5. Israel Claims It Is a Democracy
Darren Ben John ,   Townsville Australia   (05.11.14)

7. #1 Blatant lies
Ben Alofs ,   Bangor, UK   (05.11.14)
Haj Amin al-Husseini collaborated with the Nazi regime, for which he should be condemned, but he never "visited Nazi death camps" and he never "boastfully announced plans to mass murder Jews in 1948". His aim was to prevent further immigration of Jews into Palestine. Neither were the Palestinians "close Nazi allies". You are telling blatant lies for which there is no evidence whatsoever. I have read several biographies of Husseini and consulted a large range of sources. Shame on you for trying to mislead the readers here. "Nazification" of any opposition against political Zionism is one of the more disgusting tactics of Zionist hasbarists, like you.
8. "there are are a number of narratives"
Ian ,   Newcastle upon Tyne   (05.11.14)
I cannot help but think that truth is being drowned out by those who insist they have a right to talk their narratives. THREE CHEERS FOR ISRAEL!!!
9. Students mark Nakba Day at Tel Aviv University
jeremy ,   hula valley kibbutz   (05.11.14)
There is no reason to mark this day, none. The Arabs brought this on themselves. By going to war, and not accepting partition of the land, and still refusing to publicly acknowledge their mistake they only continue to harm themselves. Any Israeli Arab that feels they have been harmed by living in a democratic state and feels they are more Palesstinian than Israeli Arab then they should go try to live under one of those great repressive regimes that helped bring about the "Nakba"
10. let them protest as long as they dont disrupt
zionist forever   (05.11.14)
Let them protest, university students love protesting but what they should not be allowed to do is things like start protesting when the Yom Hazikaron siren goes which they did this year. The government must not start teaching nakba in school which the left want to do because the only thing that achieves is create a generation thats ashamed of their countries very existence because their teachers will have taught them that the only reason they have a country is because arabs lost their homes. Nakba day must never be given any official recognition at any level by the state.
11. The next time TAU goes schnorring to students
Al   (05.11.14)
I will remind them that lots of the money collected from well meaning Jews around the word goes to support their equal opportunity nonsense. Yes sireeee, support your enemies in the belief they will love you.
12. #3 democracy
Rau   (05.11.14)
Jose, practice what you preach. And nakba is reality not invention. No matter how hard you try, you can never deny the history instead learn to live with it.
13. Israel needs to recognize Nakba
Dave ,   Sao Paulo   (05.11.14)
The injustice that occurred to Palestinians as a result of the creation of the State of Israel needs to be recognized to have true peace. The injustice of Jews of Arab countries also needs to be recognized by these countries. Both were great injustices.
14. If a narrative exists. by definition it is true
Shmilfke ,   Dublin   (05.11.14)
The logic goes as follows: If I create a new version of history (even more so if millions of people are convinced to agree with my manufactured version), it is by definition legitimate, and you must compromise your version to meet me halfway.
15. Jews should celebrate Nakba day too, as a joyous day
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (05.11.14)
16. Nakba, catastrophe in Arabic, refers to the very setting of
N.L.Katz ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (05.11.14)
a liberal democratic and sovereign nation-state of the Jewish people on a portion of the Jewish people's ancestral homeland of 4,000 years. The setting of the State of Israel was grounded in the historic/natural right of the Jewish people; in the Jewish people's ethical right of national self-determination and independence; and, in the legal right of the Jewish people as was expressed by the San Remo conference, 1920; the League of Nations, 1922; and the UN Charter, article 80, 1945. To this the Arabs have been objecting, categorically, all of these years and have gone to full scale wars in order to bring about the demise of the State of Israel and the "cleansing" of our national home of its Jews. And, some "progressive" people commemorate this "catastrophe".... How pathetic, indeed, how anti-Jewish racist!!

18. The truth about the "Nakba"
Mitch S. ,   USA   (05.11.14)
The truth about the "Nakba": In Nakba commemorations the arabs express grief not on their lost homes, but on their lost dream - a dream of destruction and mass slaughter of the Jews of the Yeshuv. This is what the war was all about - an attempt to finish the Nazi's job, expressly declared as such by arab leaders. They mourn their failure to annihilate Israel. They failed, and paid the price.
19. I spread lots of lies and accuse others of same to deceive
Ben Alofs ,   Bangor, UK   (05.12.14)

20. #14 - then after a while there is no truth anymore...
William ,   Israel   (05.13.14)
but rather a host of competing stories of the same obscure events. Since they gain legitimacy simply by the number of their following, in your mind it's ok. Welcome to the birth of man-made religion. I agree now - the Pally narrative and the Nakba are all ideologies rather than factual history and have their own zealous followers....making it on-par with any cult-like religion.
