Israel spies on the US over its position on Middle East issues. Edward Snowden should remember Israel is in the Middle East and non of its neighbours recognise its right to exist and its neighbours like Canada & Mexico have no desire to see America destroyed just do commerce. Spying on America is illegal and maybe even immoral but as long as the spying is limited to issues that concern Israel and the information it gains is not used to hurt America then it can be justified.

Stands to reason. Israel has been thoroughly humiliating the NSA and its supposedly primo information-gathering prowess for quite a while now. I guess the icing on the cake was Israel's destruction of the top-secret Iranian nuclear reactor at Qazvin last week. The NSA did not know about the facility. Either that, or Susan Rice believed wholeheartedly Iran's strenuous denial that such a facility exists. Well, It did. Not any more, of course. And the NSA never even detected the IAF squadron responsible for the destruction, and the State of Israel did not inform the United States. Can't really fault their rage and humiliation, but their ineptitude is remarkably funny. What a shame that the United States, allegedly an ally, double deals against Israel's interests. Allies aren't supposed to do that. That's why Israel really needs to keep an eye on the United States -- especially given the mindset of the current administration. That said, it is worth keeping in mind that the United States has more spies than any other country. They're just not any good at it, whereas Israel is. Jealous of Israel's capability, and the fact that Israel no longer shares very much intelligence with the United States. For good reason. The current administration is not to be trusted, and American espionage is severely compromised by the existence of moles. The CIA leaks like a sieve. Incompetent fools. Israel doesn't have to tell them anything.

I don't think Obama has anything to worry about. There is video of him giving a speach right after he was elected to the senate telling an audience he was a Muslim born in Kenya.
