...anyone charged with a supervisory or command position. Pouring corrosive liquid over a solldier's head is a potentially life threatening act. Had that been me on the recieving end such criminally assaultive behavior, I would possibly have shot his sorry butt, and been well within my rights to defend myself, in any civil or military court proceedings. Israel has a strong but small military entity. It operates on trust and loyalty. These were subjected to decay by poor command displays. There is NO room for such negative command behavior and no excuse. Absolutely NONE.

In an army the size of the IDF, this isn't so many complaints, and those mentioned seem to be the exception; not the rule. As to the one about drinking until vomiting, my CO also made us drink a lot- even too much sometimes. And yes- I vomited too from it. This was not long after half of our platoon got dehydrated in an exercise. Better a little too much water than not enough.
