Right now whilst this war has been going on the left has been silenced and is not calling to give it up but when things quieten down and there is a new Syrian government the Israeli left will be jumping up and down saying give up the Golan prove to the arabs Israel wants peace, Doesn't matter if they are Israeli politicians, generals who think we don't need a territorial high ground with modern warfare and think if the Golan is the price of peace pay it which has been the thinking of many generals for many years now or American presidents the Golan must never be compromised.
