Of course Iran is optimistic. They announced that they would make no concessions, and they haven't. The West has acknowledged Iran's right to nuclear power and enriched uranium, given them time to maintain and upgrade centrifuges, and work on the fuses and delivery systems.
Of course, thanks to Obama's coup in Ukraine and primitive insults, Putin no longer has an interest in helping Obama with Iran.
