Yes we treated Haniyeh's family in hospital,so I dont understand how Hamas can want to destroy the hand that feeds him,and /or Israel to treat the head of an organisation swearing it will destroy us! However all it will take to calm things wis to get Haniyeh to publicly renounce Hams charter concerning Israeli recognition.I cannot see what we would lose in chasing this..But we dont want Hamas on West Bank.Let us get proposed borders and drive the process?

Obama and Abbas had a problem: the negotiations reached a stage where Abbas needed to make concessions to Netanyahu for which he has no authority, like ending the conflict, accepting the existence of Israel or the presence of Jews in the Middle East. Obama invented the new PA government of technocrats who will handle the day to day governing and get international acceptance. Obama will legally be able to fund the PA government as terror organization Hamas is not a member. Any agreement or treaty the PA technocrats sign (if they do) will have no meaning as they represent no one but the US State Department. He won't admit it, but Netanyahu has been played for the past 6 years and he lost his pants.
