The basic reality is everyone that left Gaza received a nice financial nest egg, that they could have used to start new lives fairly easily anywhere on earth. Instead they chose to whine about things that they had no control over. Was it fair? maybe not, but that is just the way the world is and the SMART people just accept the REALITY and use their resources to get on with life. Given how Israel and the rest of the world have progressed since israelis left Gaza, there is not really any excuse for those that are still unhappy. The people that have not succeeded have let their unrealistic emotions cripple them.

It was no "nest egg" - it was reimbursement (below replacement costs) for the homes and employment that the Israeli govt. destroyed. Most of the families I know received significantly lower amounts of compensation mentioned. A large percentage of the expellled adult population was 45- 60 years old at the time with no marketable job skills (they were farmers) and now face devastating age discrimination - well known in Israel. In short - the Israeli government has yet to make good on what they "stole".

The only people who suffered where the people of Gush Katif, Sderot, Ashdod, Ashkelon and Beer Sheva. Did Livni, Olmert, Hanegbi and Peretz suffer?
