1. It is a given that these old rats of Israeli politics are

"dirty" as Dead Sea mud. They have to be, because they belong to a period in our history, that was symbolized by "protekzia, connections, Pinkas ha Adom". I know it, everybody knows it; it may be difficult to prove in court, but now these bastards are trying.....not out of sense of righteousness, but out of pure prestige/power-hunger. Damn their eyes!!!

Opening an investigation so close to the election is simply criminal

You have a point about the issue having been settled some time ago, but I don't think that Ashkenazi-Mizrahi plays a role. I didn't think that over the Moshe Katzav debacle, and I am a strong supporter of Katzav and know that he was railroaded for political purposes that had nothing to do with his roots. Please put those issues to rest. It's only grist for the mill of those who hate us who do not care which branch of the Jewish family tree we claim. For the record, I am Ashkenazi and my husband is Mizrahi. My children are ta'arovot, and they are stunning. Please. Don't examine individual pieces of tile; just appreciate the beauty of the mosaic. Most Israelis have moved past the issue long ago; so should you.

...honest question. Is it possible that polititurds and those seeking to become polititurds are insufficiently compensated for their time and effort? Do they recieve a liviing wage ; making it possible to live decently and have a nice residence? What causes them to reflex towards the acceptence of unlawful and morally challenged gifts and emoluments, contrary to law.
