The EU is a stagnant cesspool in terms of scientific research. Why should we allow them to tap into Israel's extraordinary scientific and technological brain trust? They need us; we do not need them. Or their special appendices. Israel decides which research institutions will benefit from the funding; not the European Union. Anything less, and Israel should demur from membership. It's not worth it.

So, thanks Israel for inviting Spain and Brits... Personally, I'd rather invest those in free education for talented youth in Israel. And invite some Iranians and Iraquis, and Syrians, and nearby neighbors. That will advance peace a lot further than corrupt politicians.
