What's funnier is that in 2012 Obama ran under his achievement that Al-Qaeda was finished and American voters believed him. A bit funnier will be to see Obama's face when ISIL/ISIS makes it to Jordan and hangs King Abdullah. Time for the US to butt out of Iraq in everyday possible and leave them to find their own way. It was never going to be possible for the US to go in and then create a pro west democracy, there are millions of Iraqis they need to be the ones to decide their future not Obama. Time for the US to stop trying to intervene in Iraqi politics and its the same with Syria. Let them have their civil war, don't take sides and when the locals are ready to end the war they will, they will chose a government and the US will deal with them either with sanctions if they are hostile or open arms if we like them. Its the imperial powers dividing up the region in a way that suited them that created the whole mess the region is in today so time for the US to learn from mistakes & not interfere.

Obama didn't win the election because the people fell for his security claims or because they believed his claims to be the right man to run the economy. Obama was loosing all the debates to Romney and what won the election for him was a hurricane in New York. Jus before the election there was a hurricane and Obama went out and got to look presidential and Kerry couldn't get involved without trying to make it look like he was taking advantage of the situation for political capital. The media were interested in compassion rather than politics in the final leg so Obama got all the press coverage and it was the right sort so he won.
