1. At the risk of being arrogant

These American students really do not have the emotional tools to understand what is happening here. They are not Israelis. They will never serve in the IDF. Their houses are not being rocketed and they are not at war. Their opinions are not relevant and at best they may have a good trip and at worst they will join the rest of their idiot American Jewish crowd. Diaspora Jews are not Israelis. I don't spout my opinions on America's border with Mexico and America's Health and immigration policy because it does not affect me and I haven't got a clue.
2. Some issues with this program

I admit these type of programs help to break down barriers where stereotypes, especially in "Palestinian" society create an air of fear and dehumanization of Jews. The "Palestinian" girl quoted in the article said it was the first time she ever met a Jew. REALLY??? You're right next door to a country full of them, attending university in the Jewish capital, and you never met a Jew before?? "The aim of the program is to have more dialogue between Palestinians and American Jews." It would seem the Jews the "Palestinians" need to meet and create a dialogue with are the ones next door...if they truly want to seek peace.
