I don't think anyone can argue the case that Obama hasn't blundered in a string of international disputes. I think Hilary Clinton is right that Assad should have been nipped in the bud before rebel extremists moved in. And now in spite of Obama talking about options, the fact is the horses have bolted now in Iraq and options virtually no longer exist.

Benghazi caught Obama unprepared. Egypt rejecting the Brotherhood caught Obama unprepared. Finding out that Syrian rebels were crazed Islamists caught Obama unprepared. Iran lying about stopping nuclear development caught Obama unprepared. Then again, what could you expect from a man who achieved everything because of affirmative action and who never had a real job unless you count "community organizer"

Why don't Assad, Maliki and Rouhani join forces to exterminate the jihadists, without any "help" from the West? Toppling Assad will only help these extremists, something the West does not understand. Hezbollah can help them out as in Syria; it will keep them away from Israel and let them do something useful for a change.
