1. Let's make a deal
James ,   USA   (07.03.14)
I would not be so smug. It is in Irans best interest to make a deal. With certainty, even knowing Israel's lack of confidence and divisive leaders, they would not hesitate to use military force that Iran could not stop, even if it meant using a borrowed US nuke or two. Such a beautiful country with rich culture and (on a whole) wonderful people that you would be willing to sacrifice for nothing. Oh well.
2. the shia terror regime has overreached
CJK   (07.03.14)
this vicious genocidal regime and its terror proxies have been conducting military operations throughout the middle east. for some incomprehensible reasons they did not count on the rise of sunni jihadi terrorists and secular sunnis enraged at the continual slaughter of their brethren in syria or the discrimination they suffer at the hand of the shia puppet regime of al-malaki. today, the shia terror regime is overstreched. the overreach of the shia terror regime, including in its arrogant attitude in its negotiations with the west on the nuclear issue, seems to have escaped the ideologically crippled obama regime. just when the shia terror regime is at its weakest, the obamas are still willing to sign a capitulation deal with it. it is very obvious that obama is not simply incompetent but rather a narcissist driven by ideology and personal agendas.
3. Major Powers
Claude ,   UK and Cape Town   (07.03.14)
The so called Major Powers are not the real threat to Iran. The local regional strife and internal problems are probably a much more serious threat to an over stretched regime, in Syria, with Hizbollah , ISIS in Iraq and a very unstable Baluchistan A report written on a travel blog recently from someone who went on a trip to Iran, includes comments of shouting in local markets from angry citizens towards police, graffiti seen with anti govt slogans in Isfahan. Is the Iranian regime going to Nuke it's own citizens, or does it plan to import well trained Hezbollah fighters to control the streets. For a country with so much oil, why is there petrol rationing outside the biggest cities.
4. OK
(07.03.14)
So Obama is now providing military cover for Iran to develop nukes while he orders American troops to fight alongside Iran against the Jihadis he trained and armed (with Libyan arms) to overthrow Iran's ally Syria.
5. Any bets? Things you can count on
maddad ,   Johannesburg RSA   (07.03.14)
1. Iranians will not give an inch 2. USA will do nothing 3. Kerry will propose some form of democratic ideal that suits nobody. 4. USA will back up its words with - nothing. 5. USA will lead - from the back. 6. Putin is amazed by the naive idiots running the West 7. Russia will pick up all the business to be had.
6. with obama & putin Iran has nothing to worry about
zionist forever   (07.03.14)
Weak and pathetic Obama Weak and pathetic British government Strong corrupt Putin who is supporting Iranian nuclear weapons program. Slippery Rohani who tells the west things they like to hear and not much else. I would say Iran has very little to worry about and they will get nukes one day and all these talks will do is slow things down, ensure there are no nuclear tests whilst Obama and Cameron are still in office. We will get a lame duck deal then the arabs with international support from Obama included will say nuclear free Middle East and israel will come under pressure to go along with it from both abroad and the bookmakers back home who want to save the money spent on nuclear weapons and one day Iran will announce they are now the regions sole nuclear power.
