1. If he had spent as much time
Shalom ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (07.04.14)
reconciling Shia and Sunni in Iraq, ISIS would not have overrun Iraq so easily. Glaring case of misplaced priorities.
2. Sure Indyk believes anything Arab liar Majid says
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (07.04.14)
Reality is the exact opposite. Israelis see the occupying Arabs committing acts of terrorism every single day. This is the reason what talks didn't succeed. Indyk has to get is head ot of the sand to see the truth.
3. To All Commentators
Harold ,   USA   (07.04.14)
Ross and Indyk were unsuitable to represent the US. An army general, who knows the Middle East culture, should have been appointed. I suggest the US should not try again this foolish comedy but refer this conflict to the UN for a final and fair decision.
4. Why the talks failed
Syd Chaden ,   Palermo Calif USA   (07.05.14)
The talks failed because they didn't include the most critical issue that prevents peace and promotes violence. They never mention the Islamic doctrine of "death to infidels". How can there be a meaningful peace agreement between Israel and any Muslim entity, when the religion of the Muslims calls upon them to kill the Jews?
5. To One Commentator: You still don't have a clue & never will
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (07.05.14)
6. Indyk
Howard Immanuelson ,   US   (07.05.14)
Indyk and Kerry were the ONLY ones that thought this farce might go anywhere. Why would the Pals negotiate seriously when the Obama administration is unfailingly supporting them, paying them, and making even more extreme statements than they are? EVERYONE understood how ludicrous these talks were except for Kerry and Indyk.
7. The clowns tried to square the circle
Sidney ,   USA   (07.05.14)
And needed somebody to blame when they failed at solving a problem with no solution. If they read the latest Palestinian poll, they would know that most Palestinians don't want a two station solution, they want to destroy Israel. Naturally Indyk blames Israel.
8. Israel has marginalized the Palestinians
FRED ,   USA   (07.05.14)
Yes Israel think of the Palestinians as subhumans that brings on their racist attitude.
9. Marty, genuck. You failed, accept it.
blog2038 ,   usa   (07.05.14)
10. Indyk lives in a unrealistic personal world
Chana   (07.05.14)
Indyk is a shanda. He appears totally oblivious to what is happening throughout the M.E. But he is going to 'fix' Israel apart and aside from any true reality of what its surroundings. Indyk is big into misplaced blame - simple for him, just blame Israel. He is a perfect example of 'the Peter principle'. Waaay past time for retiring his old and tired ideas.

yonatan Allon ,   adelaide/Israel   (07.05.14)
Idiot Arab "Harold"-the UN has to solve it's own problem before it can help others. And the problem is simple to solve and that is -it must cease to exist. Go away, far, far away Arab.
12. excuses you failed because you are incompetent

13. This man is/was unsuitable
Sagi   (07.05.14)
he has it written all over his face. The reason why talks failed has nothing to do with what he said. The reason is that the Pals and Arabs want to destroy Israel and Israel does not agree to be destroyed. They have no intention of moving from this position and Israel has no intention to let them get themselves into a strategically advantageous position where Judea and Samaria will become a hornets nest of Iranian backed terrorism and fodder for the "Caliphate". Good riddance Mr. Indyk, please do not come back.

Your colonialist attitude is disgusting and racist. Haven't you people done enough damage with your final and fair decision? We saw you final and fair decision in Libya and Syria to impose Islamists on an innocent population. We see your final and fair decision to impose fascists on Ukraine. Enough is enough.
18. talks did not fail
(07.05.14)
Abbas and Hamas have never said the talks the failed. PLO received major concessions including more money, released murderers, de facto building freeze on Jews and Netanyahu agreeing to PLO state, yet they made no concessions. Now that they see Livni can't squeeze more concessions from Netanyahu, they are starting another Intifada just like Arafat did in 1994 and 2000.

No, Israel was not created by the UN in 1948. Israel declared itself a country in '48. The UN didn't create anything.
24. Well... if you insist... it will have more cocroaches
