As Israel was granted a state due to a media blitz in 1948, Hamas is enjoying simalar favorable publicity. I watched all the news reports I could find and Hamas is portrayed as a victim. Anti semitism is rampant over the world. I see this as 2 sticking points. 1) Israel must do a much better job with the media, controlling propaganda and getting a message out. Hamas should never be spoken of as Palestinians, but as a terror group. 2) As this part of the war is lost already, Israel should at this point stop worrying about its image.. It has none. This allows Isreal to target and kill without warning and grave prejudice, any target it so desires. Winning the hearts and mind will not work.. The horrors of war once entered into are the best way to prevent another conflict. Israel at this stage cannot turn prejudicial long held public opinion around but it can and must deal a crippling physical and phycological blow.
