With that set as a goal idf has a concrete mission, pocession of strip of gaza, devoid of population( force evacuation population), and say a twelve week window to demolish tunnel infrustructure through totally controll of area to do as you will, thus when leaving area at end of operation, Hamas is left with no tunnels.

the terror state of iran is the one which has supplied hamas and islamic jihad with advanced missiles. the terror war started by hamas at this time is not a coincidence. iran is facing a deadline of 20 july to come to some sort of deal with the p5+1 on its nuclear weapons program. iran is trying to deflect attention from this date. iran is also trying to assess israel's military capabilities since it fears an israeli attack on its nuclear sites. the islamist terrorists in gaza are willing to sacrifice any number of their civilians to gain a propaganda victory. israelis should not help them by openly showing sympathy. it must not be forgotten for one instant that they would murder every israeli if they could. nor should it be forgotten that the terrorists have attempted to destroy the dimona nuclear reactor and thus cause a nuclear holocaust. israel must do whatever needs to be done to destroy as much as possible of the terror capabilities of hamas and its partners.
