Peres should have said: "...the Arab world, beset by "the United States who is destroying nation after nation without a vision." "The damage that the United States did to the Arab world is unbelievable," he said. "Deep in their heart I'm sure Arabs understand that their problem is not Israel but the United States."

john ,   toronto   (07.16.14)
This will be the last campaign that will have the leadership of old men , it is time for them to retire but they still hold on to power. It is a dilemma because young and honest men should be leading the people, they would have gone from success to success instead they are back where they started.

This godless idiot lost his moral compass long ago! Israel deserves better leadership. God bless Israel; praying for the peace of Jerusalem.
10. talk clearly
(07.16.14)
Peres should talk clearly, what does he mean when he says two states? Does Peres mean an ethnically pure Arab Palestine and a binational Israel? Or does Peres agree with Lieberman that the borders will be drawn so that there will be no Arabs in Israel?
11. Are various Islamic/Sunni/Shiite clerics positive forces?

12. Moral dilemma
Harry Wright ,   UK   (07.16.14)
I am sure the terrorists contemplated the moral dilemma of killing Israeli civilians with their rocket attacks into Israel's civilian places. And I am sure their conclusion was - to hell with that, let's kill the Israelis and gain points in the Arab street and as well, get paid for it by the Europeans and the US as part of a truce. So, they went ahead trying to kill as many Israelis as possible. I'll give them 10/10 for effort. Only thing is, the effort is a big failure because the casualties are one-sided, their side - and their image is steadily contracting in the eyes of the population. So now, they are forced to find victory in the deaths of their own civilians and the extensive damage to their own property. In the up-side-down minds of the terrorists, FAILURE=VICTORY=MONEY in the pockets of the terrorist leaders, because the money certainly does not filter down to the poor in the society.
13. Only Israel has a moral problem
Zev ,   Israel   (07.16.14)
According to the laws of warfare rocket launchers are legitimate targets and if there are civilians there the moral problem is with them and their leaders.
14. Peres is the moral problem!
Josh ,   Manchester   (07.16.14)
What is his dilemma? Not Enough Israelis died as a result of his "far sighted" thinking!? Brought disgrace to his people, to the institution that is the Nobel Peace prize!! Imagine that the Nobel Peace Prize now open to terrorists w/ blood on their Hands and their assistants (Peres)... Time for you to go out and pasture. Keep your opinions to yourself - If you did then, we'd NOT BE IN THIS PROBLEM...
15. Price of Stupidity - No moral dilema
maddad ,   Johannesburg   (07.16.14)
The Arab spring shows that Arabs have no appretiation of the opertunities presented by democracy and that this only leads to chaos and violence. Isreal needs to admit that the unilateral withdrawl from Gaza was a complete failure (as can be seen today from the rockets). Israel must pay the price for the re-take Gaza (unfortunately), rid it of militants, rockets and tunnels. It then needs to impose Sharia law on Gaza for the peoples own good. There is no moral dilema.
16. He's right but...
Rube Vogel ,   Jerusalem   (07.16.14)
But Hamas and the Palestinians who support Hamas have created this morality pickle by placing themselves abd their missile launchers in populated areas. "You must either allow us to drop missiles on your children OR you must kill our children."

when we carpet bombed Germany. I don't see why Gaza should be any different. They kill our children and give 3 finger salutes and celebrate. Well, if those pigs want to dish it out let them take it and see how it feels.
21. Shimon and Moral problem
(07.16.14)
April 1996 Qana village, 106 civilians were killed when Peres started a needless war against Hezbollah to boost his electoral ratings. Strange that there was no moral dilemma for Peres when people died so he could get elected.
