Easy for you to say when your safe in California where the biggest threats you face are earthquakes. Thousands of rockets have ben fired into Israeli population centres since the Israeli withdraw from Gaza in 2005, we gave them a chance for peace and they abused it. Since this operation began Hamas have fired about 2000 rockets and its largely thanks to Israeli defences that the residents are still able to go out protesting Saturday night rather than hide in bomb shelters. How big is the risk of terrorists tunnelling their way into your home in California and murdering or kidnapping people. Just look at the number of tunnels the IDF has uncovered and we have had terrorists coming into kibbutzim via tunnels. There are palestnians being killled in Gaza sure thats is because they are being used as human shields and its also a fact in urban warfare no matter how hard you try to avoid it there will always be civilian casualties this is the nature of war so Israel either submits and does nothing but take it to avoid palestinian civilian casualties or does best to keep those casualties down but goes on the offensive. Only people living in Israel are truly in a position to judge the rights and wrongs of this war because they are the ones affected by its consequences not foreigner who sleep safe in their beds.
