1. I see a lot of of good and bad
Robert ,   farmington   (07.25.14)
I see a lot of good and bad in a cease fire agreement, believe it or not in the long run a cease fire will benefit Israel. may the lord forever protect the State Of Israel.
2. Stop now = Hamas/Hizbolla/Victory
rayS ,   usa   (07.25.14)
To stop without destroying Hamas's infrastructure completely will bring ruin upon Israel. Any fool should be able to see this. THAT IS WHY ALL ISRAEL'S ENEMIES WANT IT .
3. Lift the Siege and End the Occupation
Motaz ,   Palestine   (07.25.14)
ITS SIMPLE STUPID. If you think you can enjoy your beaches while we accept perpetual siege and occupation you are delluded. We would rather die a quick death!
4. do we look stupid?
Larry ,   LA (formerly)   (07.25.14)
why should we give them a cease fire? to rearm? to re-group? Hell, let us finish this off once and for all! a 3 hour humanitarian cease fire is enough for the innocents to get out, that is if Hamas will permit it (which is truly doubtful).
5. Does Kerry thinks his Israel's PM to give such garantee?
David ,   Montreal, Canada   (07.25.14)
(Ynet should accept non facebook members opinions! )
6. Don't Accept Terms
David ,   St. Paul, USA   (07.25.14)
It's easy for me to say this sitting in my chair a world away from the fighting, but don't accept this ceasefire. When Mashall is asking for a ceasefire Hamas are running scared because what Israel is doing is working. Their terror network is being destroyed, don't stop until you have finished.
7. Go
Yosef ,   Ashdod, Israel   (07.25.14)
Is not time for ceasefire; anyway if there is such ceasefire, Israel shall finish the job afterwards....
8. Ok i approve the deal for humanitarian reasons
Joyce   (07.25.14)
And to all my friends around the world and also in Israel put your flags of Israel in your balconys, cars, everywhere ! Be Patriotic! I also want thanks to my jewish friends from Canada, Russia, India, England and USA that want to join Tzahal in support of Israel, we really appreciate your beautiful gesture. am Israel hi! Shalom
9. Cease-fire = more Israeli dead
Allon   (07.25.14)
If there is a cease-fire Israel will have to confront going back into Gaza after Hamas has set-up more traps and ambushes that will leave many more Israeli soldiers dead.
10. agreeing to a cease fire now is insane
CJK   (07.25.14)
israel would be handing over victory to the jihadist terrorists. the deaths of all those precious soldiers will have been for naught. kerry is trying to save hamas, proxy of iran. iran will rearm hamas and the next round will be much worse for israel. israel cannot count on obama for anything except abuse.
11. Israel, be strong...
Nathan Rai ,   Bangalore   (07.25.14)
Its only when one scours the net when we see how and why Israel is demonized so. It seems that the odds of humanity beleiving that Israel only seeks to live in peace is at thousand to one. I beleive Israel needs to stop going ont the defensive , stop responding to the loonies - like Netanyahu wisely ignored Erdogans rants, stop putting everything down to anti semetism. Israel needs to lead the narrative , be heard , be seen as a strong nation that is not going to dissappear, the Kerrys and Erdogans not withstanding. For your today is our tomorrow.
12. Two-prong: is that a fork?
DvorahTheProphetess ,   SC, USA   (07.25.14)
In that case, Mr. Kerry, fork you.
13. Qatar is paying for the Gaza-Hamas attack on Israel
Rivkah   (07.25.14)
according to Evangelist Theresa Garcia's news. She says the Shiek of Qatar is paying for the costs of Hamas in this war. The leader of Hamas Marshaal has a luxury home in Qatar and is sitting out the war, there. Egypt is with Israel and against Hamas since Hamas is a radical arm of the Muslim Brotherhood that tried to destroy Egypt and was overthrown. Saudi Arabia is with Israel, too, in the war on Hamas. ISIS and Hamas want to destroy Egypt and Saudi Arabia, so the common enemy makes those two nations allies to Israel at this time. Praise Yah! Praise Yah!
14. Cease Fire
Steve Gure ,   Coconut Creek USA   (07.25.14)
For Israel to commit to a cease fire now is total insanity. I can not believe that BB and his defense minister is for this ide a
15. This operation was a huge mistake by Israel
Ahmet ,   Istanbul, Turkey   (07.25.14)
Now they are trying to retreat with minimal catastrophe. Hamas was weak before this war. Now look again. Stupid Bibi. As usual.
16. before making any decision
arne ,   chicago usa   (07.25.14)
I would ask the families of the dead soldiers--those who gave their lives to protect the country they so dearly loved.
17. Hamas needs ceasefire not Israel
Sam ,   Canada   (07.25.14)
Israel needs to finish the job while its citizens are relatively safe. It's Hamas that needs the break to regroup. Netanyahu is good with explaining in English but he is otherwise a cream puff. He makes a good spokesman not leader.
18. typical of livni and bibi
jerold   (07.25.14)
on one hand, bibi says we have to apply full force and on the other hand he wilt and would sign a truce which allows hamas time to reorganise without the tunnels being destroyed. and international monitors will not do israel's work for it. Typical action of bibi and livni, one a desciple of ehud barak who offered concessions and livni,a twin of olmert and dense like a stone. West bank protests should be managed smartly and idf continue for at least another 7 -10 days. Only then could a ceasefire be considered. Signing a ceasefire deal now means a failure of nerve and what bibi gained so far in popularity will sink like a stone as israel sees hamas rearm and redeploy.
19. bibi reverts to form
marcel   (07.25.14)
the man is weak and folds like a cheap suit. Yaalon has been holding up. You want a 12 hour humanitarian truce-fine-but you keep looking for tunnels and destroy them. To refrain from destroying them during the truce shows that danon was right about bibi. he is just plain weak- and hamas and hezbollah see this and hold out for more knowing bibi doesn't have the guts to say NO to kerry.
20. # 1
Eaglebeak ,   Left Coast, USA   (07.26.14)
Muslims are not known for keeping agreements with infidels.
21. NATO security for Gaza, in exchange for Israel security
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (07.25.14)
...no more rockets, no more fighting between borders. Peace based on international law, right of return, and compensation for stolen Palestinian land.
22. not yet--too soon
arne ,   chicago usa   (07.25.14)
To stop now is not the answer.Hamas will only rebuild with the help of Israels enemies.Israel should continue for some time and then offer a truce on their terms not the terms set by Hamas.Israel can offer Gaza a true peace only after Hamas is no longer relavent.
23. Kerry has no right to "guarantee" anything ...
Raymond in DC ,   Washington, USA   (07.25.14)
"According to the report, Kerry gave a guarantee that the siege of Gaza would end when a ceasefire is reached" Uh, what? Kerry is not authorized to speak for Egypt or Israel, and thus cannot "guarantee" any benefit from either party unless he's already obtained such an understanding. It appears he's learned nothing from his most recent "peace initiative", where he apparently "guaranteed" that Israeli Arab prisoners would be released with the fourth group from Israel. But Israel never made such a commitment! Then when it didn't happen, Kerry pushed Israel to meet *his* commitment, plus throw in a few hundred more prisoners. And this guy is Secretary of State?!
24. Divide and conquer -
Arn.Sweden. ,   Sweden.   (07.25.14)
- the motto of the Devil ! I Quote - Israel cabinet split on Kerry's Gaza ceasefire bid comment - By the Fruit one knows the Tree !. The Devils most dangerous appereance is a kind hunman. Arn.Sweden.
25. Obama has sent Kerry to save Hamas !.
Arn. ,   Sweden.   (07.25.14)
If the Israeli PM is an Usefull Idiot He will agre to a ceasefire. Hamas ha calculated that the Usefull Idiots of the west will save them as usuall. Arn.Sweden.
26. No ceasefire - we would lose momentum.
barbara ,   Haifa Israel   (07.25.14)
Anyway I don't believe or trust Hamas that they would stop rockets if we agree to ceasefire. Do no, I repeat, do not retreat from Gaza till it is demilitarized.
27. #3 "We would rather die a quick death!"
A ,   Belgium   (07.25.14)
Tfahdahl, go right ahead. No one is stopping you, especially your own leaders. Less "palestinians" in the world makes the world a safer place for everyone else.
28. Motaz we remember your lies
igor ,   toronto canada   (07.25.14)
