I doubt that Israel "opened the door" to US mediation, and I even more seriously doubt that John Kerry ever had "good intentions." So many of the claims of this article are unsubstantiated, and in many cases clearly contrived to create an alternate reality that circumvents the unfortunate truth--- Obama is an enemy of Israel. I will repeat. Obama is an enemy of Israel. Obama is an enemy of Israel. We may try to pretend otherwise, indeed it may appear to be in our interest to pretend that the reality is otherwise-- that the leader of the strongest most important country in the world, and Israel's only historically consistent ally-- is in fact our friend. And we may hope that if we keep up appearances, and accept whatever conditions he demands as ransom in order that he avoid more clearly declaring his enmity, that the world might continue to believe the fiction. But let's at least not deceive ourselves of the truth. Obama is an enemy of Israel. And he does not have good intentions toward us, none of the officials in his administration have good intentions toward us-- least of all John Kerry, who though willing to defend Israel to a sympathetic American public, is too cowardly to defend Israel to the cocktail sipping imbeciles that staff his agency. Obama is no more friendly than a moderate Arab leader at best-- and sometimes (as now) even less friendly. If he were to be replaced by the Emir of Qatar tomorrow, there would be no noticeable differences in Mideast policy.

Obama wanted change and that's what he got. Once the whole world listened to what he, the oracle from Chicago had to say, now nobody does. Once he had an approval rating of 80+, now 40+.. Once America was leading the world, under Obama the world is leading America! Once America had loyal friends, under Obama America has loyal enemies! This is how the US, UN, and EU tricked Israel and prevented it from destroying Hizbollah in the last Lebanese war. In that conflict, the UNSC resolution clearly called for Hizballah to be disarmed, but that obviously did NOT happen. Instead, Israel withdrew- again, and got NOTHING in return but more threats from the Islamofascists! Israel needs to flush the toilet that is Gaza and get rid of Hamas, then hand over the strip to PA and Egyptian police, who would ensure peace their under the threat of losing ALL their funding from abroad.

The situation on the ground is this: we occupy Gaza. The situation in the air is quite different. You shoot, we shout. Diplomacy has led to a highly satisfactory situation for Israel. Now we can submit all unacceptable proposal we wish while going on with the job on the ground. Once your are in you are not easily out.

Then Bibi decided to really mistreat Obama. Now the American leadership is tired of the mistreatment and the MAJOR problems Israel is causing for the US around the world. The reality Israelis need to face is it is going to get worse! Even if super-hawk Hilliary becomes POTUS in 2016, she is going to have the DOD, State and others reminding her that Israel is causing lots of problems and even she just may take a big club to Israel. Bibi has messed up big time by angering Obama and there is very little chance the relationship between Israel and the US will improve no matter who replaces him. Israel is in for a bad future.

Gaza rightfully belongs to Israel. When Israel had Gaza, none of our current problems existed. They were all caused by Israel's mad retreat from Gaza. Retaking Gaza forever is the obvious solution.
