If you stockpile weapons in schools, mosques, hospitals and civilian apartment buildings, those schools, mosques, hospitals and civilian apartment buildings become legitimate military targets. That's black letter international convention. Moreover, Israel, a sovereign state, has an affirmative duty to protect and defend its citizens. Hamas is a terrorist organization. By definition, ALL its acts are wanton and outside the law. Hamas is solely responsible for the carnage. Or have you conveniently overlooked the fact that the citizens of Israel have been brutalized by missiles and mortars fired from Gaza for a very long time? Did you think Israel's patience would last forever?
