You don't suppose firing thousands of missiles and mortars at innocent Israeli civilians has anything to do with what Israel does, do you? Israel is only a sovereign state, with an affirmative duty to protect and defend its citizens and its borders. What should Israel do about "palestinian" terrorists? Invite them over for tea and crumpets?

Iran has the second highest execution rate after China, Execcutions well documented by Amnesty with prisoners tortured, executed without trial, political opponents and their families face extreme violations of human rights. Hardly a nation to hold as a moral example to anyone. Surely you could do better than turn to Iran in making your case, you could try for other great allies of Hamas, N Korea maybe!

A long way from the days that Jack Cohen founded Tesco. But a firm that affiliates with ESSO, might get in trouble over 'human rights & 'the territories. Cheap shot!

Oh, please! Can you spell "exit visa?" Jews in Iran can no longer obtain them. And yes, the tiny Christian minority is persecuted, as are the Zoroastrians, the Ba'hai and even Sunni Moslems. When Jews left Iran in droves following the Islamic revolution in 1979, the ayatollahs quickly realized that well over half of the brains and well over half of the money were leaving with them. The remaining Jews in Iran are miserable, but they are not allowed to leave -- certainly not with their possessions. I wouldn't talk too much about pedophiles, if I were you. Wasn't Aisha nine years old when her "marriage" to Mohammed was consummated? That makes your prophet a pederast, sluggo.

What a shame that so many Arabs who rely upon Israeli settlement industries for their livelihood are about to get laid off. What will happen, of course, is that the unemployment rate of West Bank Arabs will get kicked over the 60 percent threshold. I'm sure they're going to be ever so grateful to Tesco for their non-political, conscientious choice to throw so many "palestinians" out of work. Of course, there is no shortage of markets for Israeli products of any kind, especially those from Judea and Samaria. A lot of people make a point of going out of their way to purchase them. And a lot of people are going to go out of their way to NOT patronize Tesco. Too bad about all those unemployed Arabs, though. Is Tesco planning to feed their families? Pay their rent? Didn't think so. Cheers, Tesco! Thank you for helping increase Arab emigration from Judea and Samaria. May as well happen sooner than later.

No question that Tesco's decision not to sell products from Judea & Sameria is a p.litical decision. Tesco's founder Mr ohen would turn in his grave if he knew that "his" company has kow towed to those calling for a boycott. Shame on Tesco.
23. freedom of choice
Michael ,   Haifa   (07.30.14)
I find the settlements morally repugnant for their theft of land and it is my legitimate personal choice not to buy their products, I understand that TESCO feels the same way,
24. Tesco Boycott
Bikerwolf ,   London U.K.   (07.30.14)
I shouldn't be too concerned folks. Tesco is fast losing customers to new German discount stores which give better prices and more selection. This decision is meaningless to the vast majority of British consumers. No one here really cares about this nonsense. My advice to Israel is to set up a shopping chain here and compete with the Tesco morons. But guess what I bought there the other day? Oh yes, corn from Mugabe's fascist Zimbabwe and bananas from the Nazi gang running Honduras. Principles? What principles? Bye bye Tesco.

> I cannot undrestand how a peoples who were so persecuted are now persecuting others I'm not surprised that you don't understand, Susan. Try reading non-British news sources and things will become clearer. Read Jpost articles. Read Ynetnews articles, Read Times of Israel articles. Get some context with your news. As someone that's read a number of British news sources over the years and also reads American and Israeli news sources, you'll find it to be an enlightening experience. After you've done that for a while, go check out bbcwatch. You'll be horrified.
