1. Gaza rockets useless, tunnels blocked so truce sounds good.
Sam ,   Canada   (08.15.14)
It's a matter of time for the terrorists to come up with new terrorist methods. They will fire from Gaza, the West Bank or both. There is no difference among them. Eventually either they make peace or Israel must crush them for long term peace.
2. Why I don't believe them ? Probably they ran out of rockets
barbara ,   Haifa Israel   (08.15.14)
3. Is this a sign of surrender or die by Hamas?!
Son of Cyrus ,   uk   (08.15.14)
4. Etc, Etc,
Joe Mevorah ,   Lincoln, USA   (08.15.14)
Another year another war in Gaza. It's like a tragic play with predictable results. The world will condemn Israel's actions. The Palestinians will once again be the victims. At best, Israel will take Abbas seriously and try to work towards a two state solution. Otherwise, it's deja vu all over again.
5. Demilitarization
karmel usa   (08.15.14)
This is getting confusing and highly frustrating. Is it a 'demilitarization' or not? Don't dangle that word in front of us unless you mean it. Besides, everyone knows that Hamas and all their terror-loving jackal affiliates would never agree to that.
6. The next episode.
Gabe ,   Canada   (08.15.14)
One dumb deal is following another. What's next ? Gaza a nuclear power ?
7. So have Hamas lost ? A break- just
DT ,   TA Israel   (08.15.14)
long enough to rearm, modernise and start over again. Who is checking no tunnels being dug _UNWRA, no doubt
8. Stop building tunnels?
Righteous Zionisti ,   Israel   (08.15.14)
Pull the other one (it's got bells on).
9. hamas will not disarm even if they say so
marv   (08.16.14)
no way will hamas disarm. The cowards of EU have no ability to enforce demilitarizaiton as stupidly welcomed by bibi and his dumb crony hanegbi whose predictions vereacity are in his tuches. A friend asked me why israel gets such flawed leaders like livni whose lebanon resolution is worth zero, or lapid who extolled the virtues of gaza withdrawal in 2005 or herzog, whose father is rolling over in his grave at this pathetic weakling. Well israelis voted for these guys, so you who elected bibi, erdan, shamom, elkin, herzog, lapid, livni, peres, bibi, hanegbi, you are to blame more than these garbage leaders.
10. Well if you wanted to rebuild the strip....
Steven Wilson ,   Anchorage, Alaska   (08.16.14)
wouldn't it had been more prudent to ask for bulldozers from Israel...rather than starting a war and blowing all the buildings down for the reconstruction to begin? Gazans are operating on all eight cylinders with their thought processes again. Who negotiated this wallpaper anyways?
11. Agreement Will Fail
Mark ben Josef ,   USA   (08.16.14)
The agreement will fail for all the same reasons the Rafah Agreement failed.
12. Israel snatches defeat from the mouth of victory
Jhan   (08.16.14)
Complete failure, the government has murdered sixty some young people for zero gains. Israelis continue firmly asleep snore snore snore.
13. Good news.
Luiz F Haddad ,   Niteroi, Brazil   (08.16.14)
That agreement is not dangerous; on the contrary, it will protect Israel against Gaza's radical rulers. The Jewish State has demonstrated her military and moral strength. Arab Palestinians and other neighbors do know it. All for a honoured peace.
14. Looks like a reasonable and balanced deal
Harri ,   EU   (08.16.14)
Egypt has been a good mediator. Looks like the deal is reaching for all the Israeli and Palestinian demands. Bennet is not happy, because under peace agreement he cant keep playing tough, but for the rest of the world and for the peace loving Israelis it sounds like a good deal.
15. Tunnels -
barbara ,   Haifa Israel   (08.16.14)
Or maybe this grand expensive experiment of theirs was not so successful and that is why they readily agree to cease building tunnels.
