2. Bravo IDF!

3. A temporary ceasefire!
michael redbounrn ,   Aveiro - Portugal   (09.03.14)
The ceasefire will be broken because the two sides are so far apart. Israel can't come close to agreeing to Hamas' 'demands'. Groups will launch rockets and Israel will use air-power. But to finish the job Israel will have to put boots on the ground
4. Here's a thought
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (09.03.14)
We all know that Hamas does not accept a cease fire unless it is bloodied, and if it thinks it has recouped sufficiently, Hamas is always willing to break a cease fire. Seems to me that is a two-way street. What is to prevent Israel from doing some tidying up in the Strip? The threat of international disapproval? Some braying from jackasses such as Navi Pillay and Ban Ki Moon? The prospect of having to interrupt Obama's round of golf before he's finished the back nine? Wow. What consequences. The very prospect of such negative attention would stop Vladimir Putin for all of a nanosecond. Israel is a sovereign state. Hamas is a terrorist rabble. If we think we left some of the job undone, well, let's finish it up. Now. Don't complain. Don't explain.
5. In plain language
Moshe the Genuine   (09.03.14)
This "top army official" just say "we don't know what we are doing". The least I can say is I can only agree with that assessment.
6. Top Army Official: Israel underestimated Gaza militants
Tom Klein ,   Manly, Australia   (09.04.14)
On what planet this official lives? Israel was beaten psychologically and Gazans didn't suffer defeat. They still have their tunnels, 1/3 rockets and thousands of mortars to keep the Israel's South on toes. And then there is the PR war that Israel lost.. Natanyahu and Yalon totally stuffed this war up and should be tried for treason for demoralising Zahal. No ifs or buts.
7. #4 ??
Frank-el ,   Seattle USA   (09.04.14)
For somebody who says, "Dont complain. Don't explain", you do a lot of complaining and explaining. Well, at least you try to explain yourself but it all sounds the same. What do you propose? Killing every male in Gaza between 14 and 65? What exactly is your "final solution" to your Hamas boogie-man? Or is there where you trot out your tired resettlement plan...you know, herd them all in boxcars and send them to Jordan (after you take everything from them...again). You are really getting boring.
8. The Israeli PM and DM are to Blame -
Arn. ,   Sweden.   (09.04.14)
- For all Israel Tactical mistakes. They was to late with Their Strategic plans. lost the initiative and momentum to Hamas by all ceasefires, and changed their Strategy and therefore achieved nothing. The Material destruction was no achievment. Its the enemies Strategy and Military plans, that should be the first tactical goal to fight. Israels strategy was wrong from the beginning, it should have been the eradication of all millitant of Gaza. Now the next round of fighting is only a matter of time. Arn.Sweden.
