The halachic ruling of Rav Melamed is for people who are at an higher level of self-restraint of any ynet writer, you can be sure.
Moreover, nobody believes that "any woman can cause any man to have 'thoughts causing improper sexual excitement'", R. Melamed spoke of dancing and I'm not sure Ms. Weiss knows everything about the male sexual drive (and about the nature of the wedding video)
Quoting a bare phrase from the huge Talmud, that "Male Jews are not suspected of homosexual sex nor of bestiality" is simply DISHONEST, since there are many sources that discuss homosexual desire and its implications, even for male Jews. Speaking of (isolated) abuses in the community makes people wonder if the writer's purpose is to examine the state of Judaism or to discredit some people she dislikes...
That "the Torah, from its beginning to its end, does not deal with the subject of modest" is simply wrong. Miriam and the women danced separately from the men (yes, it is in the Torah...). And Potifar's wife is not a good character...
And, finally, you speak of exclusion. You know, actually understanding the concerns of some people (yes Haredim are humans, too...) before judging them can really help to cure what you call exclusion.
How hypocritical, being part of the problem and barking at the people who defend themselves... What harm does R. Melamed's ruling cause to anybody who does not follow him???
