Zechariah   (09.30.14)
The three Netanyahu Yaalon and Gantz acted in a Balanced Way in the fifty Day War though bad mistakes Occured .Toomany Palestinian civilians were killed and the IDF equipment was at times substandard leading to deaths .it was balanced because the Middle East is a Powder Keg .
2. Booting Hamas
Jake ,   Jerusalem   (09.30.14)
In reality it is the job of the people to get rid of a government such as Hamas but the reality of the situation is that the people are so brainwashed into believing that it is worth suffering or better to not open one's mouth and risk a quick execution.
3. Israel's learning Curve
Joe Mevorah ,   Lincoln, USA   (09.30.14)
I hope Israel learned how to find and dismantle tunnels quickly. They will get a chance to do it again in the north before too long.
4. This is another way to say that "we" are idiots

5. assuming something worse will replace Hamas
Lemmings Hotline ,   sd usa   (10.01.14)
seems to be the prevailing wisdom (or lack of it ) in the Israeli govt. Unfortunately, it gives the Israeli soldiers a feeling of Hamburger Hill : retaking the same hill and then retreating. This has destabilized the economy in Southern Israel. Israel has to take the chance that something better will replace Hamas, especially with the Moslem "hood" on the run in the middle east
6. of course Israel does not want Hamas gone
Mark B. ,   Amsterdam / Holland   (10.01.14)
Israel needs Hamas as a scapegoat to keep stealing land and build settlements in the WB.
