A beautiful and courageous gesture.
3. a comparison
(10.26.14)
The Israeli border policemen shot innocent people who violated a legal curfew because they were not informed of the curfew. As a result of their deaths, the border policemen were punished and IDF rules changed to prevent a repeat of the incident. Not once has any Israeli expressed even the slightest approval for what happened. Contrast this to the Arabs who hail beheading, torture, rape and even infanticide for any slight. If the Arabs of Kfar Kassem condemned the murders of 3-month old Chaya Zissel Braun, 10-month old Shalehevet Pass, or the five Hatuel children they might have the right to ask that their pain be recognized. Instead, in the ultimate Chutzpah, they demand an apology while justifying the disgusting deeds of who they call great Arab heroes. Maybe Rivlin thought he was doing something right, but the whole Middle East sees him as a Dhimmi.
4. #3 "Maybe Rivlin thought he was doing something right, but..

No "but"! Mr. Rivlin is the president. It's enough that the prime minster and his cabinet must consider this weird attitude (to regret bad things = to be weak), at least the president must have the freedom to speak out.
5. Shame on us. Shame on Rivlin. Is he outShimoning Shimon?
(10.26.14)
6. Dude is clearly left winged, so why is he part of Likud?

He needs to be a good boy or he will lose everything. Either they have evidence that he had an affair (like Katzav), that he was corrupt (like Rabin and Olmert) or his children were corrupt (like Sharon).
