1. Tzipi Livni
Henry Tobias ,   maale adumim   (12.10.14)
Voting for Livni is a waste of a vote. She goes anywhere she thinks she'll get a better offer and has no political ideals.
2. All credit to Livni!!
Brian ,   London   (12.10.14)
Yes she has changed party for each election, but one thing she has not changed is her committment to a two state solution. Not because, some would have it, out of personal interest, but because the idea of Greater Israel is LaLa land and she is and has been doing what she can to promote that. They say the key to insanity is doing things in the same way and expecting something different... - now who could I be talking about??!
3. Selling herself to the highest bidder
tiki ,   belgium   (12.10.14)
Likud, Kadima, Hatnua, Haavoda! Tzipi Livni, a woman, trustworthy as a prostitute. Shame on those who vote for this woman on the loose.
4. It's good that these radical demonic leftists united
Chaim ,   Israel   (12.10.14)
so the public will not mistaken about Herzog.
5. Loathsome Livni cost Israel victory in Lebanon
Chaim ,   Israel   (12.10.14)
The poll predicting Herzog/Livni alliance topping Likud is almost certainly leftist B.S. But even if true, the patriotic right parties still get far more mandates together. Loathsome Livni cost Israel victory in Lebanon with her idiotic cease fire with Hizbullah. Labor inflicted Oslo and countless other disasters on Israel. Patriots must hold these destructive idiots accountable for their devastation of Israel.
6. dangerous
David   (12.10.14)
This is a dangerous woman, and a dangerous time for Israel. What she and the labor party represent now, is exactly what Olmert represented, and what the labor party represented under Barak. Utter strategic blindness, for which Israel has paid in blood ever since. It is most important that the country not panic and not reelect these mindless idiots.
7. Israel needs a change
Mark Jeffery Koch ,   Mount Laurel NJ USA   (12.10.14)
When will Israeli's learn that Netanyahu is more concerned about remaining Prime Minister for the rest of his life and his own political future than he has about the State of Israel. There is not a single foreign leader in the world who trusts him and American Jews continue to be embarassed by him. Israel needs a new leader who is more concerned about his fellow citizens and the future of their country than he is about his own political future.
8. Herzog as negotiator
David   (12.10.14)
Speaking for myself, my opposition to Herzog is based upon his policies of surrender to the Arabs-- his willingness to agree to the unjust and impossible terms they wish to impose on us, merely as a starting point of negotiations. And I think that Netanyahu has done a remarkable job managing to circumvent such a disaster, despite the most hostile American president in American history. Now I hear the reports that Herzog intends to rotate the office of the prime minister with Tzipi Livni, who only has at best five mandates-- and I see that Herzog is not only ideologically deluded, but an absolutely horrible negotiator. Is this what we want?
9. So the extreme Demonic Samael Left
Chaim ,   Israel   (12.10.14)
are uniting against the Right. May Heaven protect us from these darksiders.
10. #2, there is no Smaller Israel without Greater Israel
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (12.10.14)
This is what Livni, Herzog, Lapid, Gal-On do not understand. You are in good Mindless Left company.
11. I can promise that the more political parties
barbara ,   Haifa   (12.10.14)
running in election will only make things complicated for the voters. I'm not sure the public feels like voting this time.
12. question for talkbackers?
avramele   (12.10.14)
whom do you despise more: the zionist center-left, women, secular Jews, Arabs or Obama? gevalt! so many choices so much hatred.
13. @8 well said
Ron ,   New York   (12.10.14)
David, You really said it well. Herzog will be TOO weak to negotiate with anyone. I will add that Livni is to arrogant to think that she has the right to ask for PM rotation. She will do "peace" at any cost to show that she accomplished a deal, even a bad deal. I hope the people will wake up and evaluate the people first and the parties before they cast their vote. Next government can't undo a damage that is done with previous governments.
14. #7, Radical Leftist Quartet is more concerned with becoming
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (12.10.14)
Prime Ministers and giving away land as quickly as possible than the security of Israel. So are you.
15. #12. Livni is neither Zionist nor center-left
Jake   (12.11.14)
She is left wing and "post-Zionist", so your question has no relevance whatsoever.. And this has nothing to do with her being a woman, so don't reach for cards.
16. Brian, #2. Rabin, Peres, Barak, and Olmert.
Jake   (12.11.14)
17. Labor Party shadow
Avram Goldsmith ,   Concord   (12.11.14)
Idheological is bankrupt, WITHOUT any connection yo Jewish spirit , single comparasion is with Soviet system; BANKRUPCY.
18. Centre Left Centre Right Haredim
Zechariah   (12.11.14)
With Twenty Mandates will need the Haredim 15 seats Kahalon 10 seats Libermans Harsh Reality Party 10 seats and the Pragmatic Wing of Likud 10 seats .Then there is Meretz which will deal only with the Social Gap 6 seats .Lapid can postpone his disagreements with the Haredim for a Generation that's 10 seats .Eighty Seats Plus for a Togh but sane Bitachoni Party. . The Palestinian Autonomy will have to be interim but Qatar and the Saudis can be Generous .
19. Call us "Radicals", call us what you want as long as you
(12.11.14)
quietly go into the night.....
20. the 'radical LEFT"
Jake ,   Jerusalem   (12.11.14)
21. #12. It is all about loving Israel
Chaim ,   Israel   (12.11.14)
#12 Avramele. You miss the point completely. Good Israelis seek to protect our sole tiny Jewish Homeland from destructive, leftist egomaniac fools like Herzog and Livni. It is all about loving Israel.
22. Frightened rabbits
Bertram ,   London, UK.   (12.11.14)
Well, well, well. Do I detect a dent in the smug, self-satisfied Israeli right-wing confidence? The flurry of talkbacks from Chaim and others suggests that 'loving Israel' does not extend to loving the electoral process in Israel which might just not result in the outcome they desire. Democracy is fine as long as the people vote the way you want - right?
23. Politics IS the oldest profession!
Zev ,   Israel   (12.11.14)
24. Their only common program is 'topple Bibi' ... quite empty.
brian ,   belgium   (12.11.14)
25. 12 is easy
(12.11.14)
obama
26. #1 Henry
simon marriott ,   haifa   (12.11.14)
You can replace Livnis' name with the names of most of the politicians in Israel. Most of them are a waste of space and are only in politics to get the nice salary, power and, if the can keep their bums long enough on their seat in the Knesset, a very nice pension. The biggest waste of space of all though is bb. Sill amazed that there suckers in Israel who would vote for this furniture salesman or whatever he is.
27. Tweedle Dumb and Tweedle Dumber
