Kudos to Gideon Sa'ar for seeing that the well being of the Likud was more important than his personal agenda. It takes a good man to put his personal plans aside for the betterment of the group. Gideon Sa'ar, in this case, is a Star!

A matter of weeks ago Sa'ar announced he was quitting politics then overnight he decides he wants to be PM and is the only member of the party willing to challenge. Sa'ar wanted to destroy Netanyahu bring him down so he decided to mount a challenge and in the end its only when Sa'ar saw he had no chance he either chose to or was advised not to run.

The only reason Sa'ar who had just quit politics decided to chalange was he personally doesn't like Bibi and saw this as his big chance to destroy him and thats why he came out of retirement to challenge. It was only when it became obvious to him and his supporters he was going to loose he decided to put personal feeling aside but the party was the last thing on his mind when he planned to challenge
