France needs to get much tougher on crime & terrorism. One of the terrorists in the recent attacks was previously convicted of terrorism & sentenced to 18 months. There needs to be much stricter sentencing & a zero-tolerance policy for incitement & those who go tor Muslim countries for terrorist training.

Spain expelled jews 600 years ago like England 800 years ago and many other countries but in Spain jews were explelled alive.In the tolerant France,during WWII jews were sent to die to Auschwitz and other nazi camps.

And it was before the spanish expulsion in 1492. At that time the communauty in France was much smaller than is Spain. But still, they were expulsed and of course the french king kept their belongings! Jewish people "came back" in france territory when Louis XIV invaded Strasbourg. Then in WWII, tenth of thousand were sent to death.

France has long ago decided to change their intelligent and industrious people who elevated France's quality of life and humanity. Instead, France opted to shelter problematic people, followers of a kind of religion which was not compatible with Christian and Jewish values and that sooner or later would take hold of their whole country. It is a pity that France's rulers could not see farther than the end of their own nose.

The government should instead of telling the french to make aliyah, which is a blessed thing, create an atmosphere that will make it more welcoming. Whether financial or social or religious.

I totally agree that Jews should feel safe anywhere in the world and also free to make their own decisions about making Aliyah. However, the very definition of being a Jew is based on being part of the Children of Israel (righteous converts included) and that in turn is based upon both the name of our forefather, and the land that bears his name. If you are a learned rabbi, then I'm sure you'll know just how many times our Torah commands us to settle the land, and that is not the EU! Therefore, we have an obligation to make Aliyah, and your voice against it just serves to put my brothers in greater danger, because the stronger we are on 'our own' land also make us stronger against these monsters. .
