1. The Pressure Causes Fractures
Zechariah   (02.19.15)
Pm of Israel is a reasonably high pressure Job a lot of Input a lot of threats. So they can get into Delinquincy as a Release .Happens to a lot of high Pressured people Doctors for example .A Basil Faulty Doctor could be seriously Harmful. There is though the Brilliant DR House who could be a role Model for an Israeli PM .
2. Not Iran, not Hezbollah, not ISIS, not Obama:the HOUSEHOLD!
(02.19.15)
3. I expect my leaders to be as dishonest as they can get away
(02.19.15)
with, when it comes to negotiating with our mortal enemies (or rival parties trying to de-throne the leader chosen by the bloody people!) At home he can do as he&wife sees fit, but has to be accountable when a report/accusations are being made. Two wildly different things, that the stupid electorate doesn't seem to understand. Do you REALLY expect "honesty" in politics?!! ANYWHERE on this planet??!! If so, then you truly deserve Buji & Zippi!!!!
4. I couldn't disagree more with Barnea
Jul ,   jULjUL   (02.19.15)
Leaders must lead by example. If not, they may be defined as politicians, but certainly not a leaders.
5. barnea-look in the bloody mirror
marv   (02.19.15)
I agree with you bibi is a poor leader, big talk, weak followthrough, though shows some independence from obama which is important. Cheating on home expenses-people should not do it. But barnea- look at peres, millions way over budget and not a word from you. Bibi spend peanuts compared to your guy peres. What about olmert, your hero- a liar, convicted corrupt loser of hezbollah war,yet you whitewashed him because you agree with his politics. You defended him to the hilt, he was going to give away the golan, you might as well give away israel. Bibi is weak but compared to lapid livni and herzog, obama groupies who cannot take a decision without consulting kerry and obama, and who would give ground so hamastan and isil would be inside israel in no time. you are blind and full of horsefeathers. Wake up to bloody reality.
6. About the Opinion of Barnea.
Steven ,   Rockville MD USA   (02.19.15)
Congratulations to Nahum Barnea, he was able to "convince" the resident moron Art Tsonis about the "terrible crime" committed by Natanyahu. What a Pyrrhic victory.
7. Keeping Israel safe from Iran is INFINITELY more important!!
Chaim ,   Israel   (02.19.15)
At a time when Israel confronts genocidal foes in Iran and fictional "Palestine"; we have far more important issues than bottles and lawn chairs. Yet that is all leftist fools, like Barnea, have to offer! Keeping Israel safe from her genocidal foes is INFINITELY more important.
8. Let's talk about exemplary figures
Devorah   (02.19.15)
"Exemplary figures ... don't incite against competitors and rivals ..." Inciting against Bibi is all the "exemplary figures" in the "Zionist" Party have been doing because they have nothing, NOTHING, upon which to stand; no platform and no accomplishments. Nothing.
9. Shameful conduct?
LOUIS MENAGED ,   NEW YORK   (02.19.15)
The hysteria is absurd, considering the issues, bottles, food, lawnchairs and an electrician...not graft , corruption or the 18 million shekels Peres overspent . It is clear , your paper and a segment of Israeli society is consumed with Bibi-hatred, irrational pettiness and envy. There is a country to run, the future is at stake and all the press is concerned with is petty nonsense. The irrational hatred is so clear that it is nauseating.
10. That is exactly what‘s wrong with the political system.
Rich ,   Toronto, Canada   (02.19.15)
A person in government is not accountable to the people of Israel. He or she only has to be in good standing with their political party, and they can stay in office forever, no matter how incompetent or criminal they may be.
11. Yesh!
A Jerusalemite ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (02.19.15)
"But he should be expected to know how to lead, to make reasonable decisions and make sure that they are implemented, to take responsibility for mistakes. To improve our situation, not worsen it. To direct his gaze towards his people. These are the things Netanyahu should be given a failing report card for, not the way his household is being run. "
12. Only for sodomite minded ones
Terry   (02.19.15)
is hospitality considered "shameful" conduct.
13. When negotiations restart the one thing we need above all
Sammy ,   Newcastle   (02.19.15)
from BOTH sides is HONESTY Why cant Netanyahu be HONEST and say to Palestinians that Israel needs a buffer zone in its central pinch point for security that will be exchanged for territory in Northern Israel rather than unilaterally building in advance of any agreements on the basis of some religious claim ? Why cant Abbas be HONEST and say to Israelis that Palestinian Refugees will be invited to live in Palestine not Israel? Because to progress and prosper Palestine in the West Bank NEEDS all that Human Resource and Capital and energy to build Palestine not end up benefiting Israel Why cant BOTH politicians be HONEST about the incontrovertible FACT that our Security Interests ARE the SAME, our Economic Interests ARE the SAME...even our philosophies of life converge LETS BE HONEST and ADMIT we have more IN COMMON than divides whatever outside parties would like to have us believe That takes LEADERSHIP ....and HONESTY We hope that the POLITICIANS ARE LISTENING
14. Netanyahu's shameful conduct
(02.19.15)
Barnea is right, Israeli leaders have a long list of shameful conduct, just look at the disgusting and corrupt behavior of Herzog, Livni, Sharon, Olmert and Barak, that eclipse Netanyahu's mistake of hiring a bad housekeeper and firing him after only two years. Barnea is also right that Netanyahu's record is less than perfect: he appointed Livni to be Justice Minister, he deferred to Obama regarding Iran, he succumbed to Leftist demands and imposed a building freeze on Jews and released terrorists. The problem is that no matter how bad Netanyahu is, the alternative is far worse.
15. #8 not nice
(02.19.15)
It is not nice for you to say Herzog and Livni have no achievements. They have plenty of achievements. Herzog used Amutot Barak to elect Ehud Barak, who went on to give Hezbollah control of Lebanon. Livni is the architect of UNSC 1701 that allowed Hezbollah to recover after the 2006 war.
16. Liquidating the PM before his speech...
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (02.19.15)
is a crime against Israel This article is a trap Iran prepared in order to forward his nuclear project, eliminating the last obstacle, our PM. Bibi needs right now the support of his people. Bibi,we are with you !
17. .... just like israelis are ok...
oded ,   usa   (02.19.15)
with shameful, disgraceful , obsessive Brnea, a pseudo journalist from the end of the line. the character assasination you and your ilk have constructed against bibbi and his family would make geobles smile. what a disgrace you are!
18. if the job is so forthright and you are
michael   (02.19.15)
upright so why don't you run for Prime Minister? A leader whether very good or very bad he is still human. which by default makes us all imperfect. If you are looking for perfection ;political leaders are not the venue you should be looking at.
19. Nonsense
tiki ,   belgium   (02.19.15)
Journalists & commentators and the State Comptroller of Israel have to be ashamed of busying themselves with such trivial things as bottles & the electrician....ONE MONTH before election and than explain as cool as a cucumber that this 'investigation // witch hunt' has nothing to do with elections. LOL! The stench of spin by the Left is reaching shameful proportions. The PM office spend to much money? So make clear rules, but don't put the blame on the PM for he really is busy with more important issues. This article shows the small minded envy of Mr. Barnea but thankfully does the Israeli voter see right true this farce being played out by the Left.
20. We have the PM we deserve
(02.19.15)
The PM is a reflection of our society
21. Marv
guy ,   usa   (02.19.15)
i agree with marv albert #5
22. #15 - I'm sorry
Devorah   (02.19.15)
I forgot about those stellar achievements of Herzog and Livni lol.
23. At least he wasn't having sex with interns in his office!
David ,   Hartford USA   (02.20.15)
I mean, really! The guy doesn't get paid that much for what he has to do. And just think how he feels when he's visiting foreign leaders with their unlimited funds to throw around. Bibi hasn't been caught with his pants around his ankles, he's not kissing up to the psychopaths in Iran, he's not giving away the store to Abbas just to appease Obama, and he's keeping the absolute Jew-hating murderers of ISIS, Hamas, and Hezbollah in check. Give the guy a break! Forget Obama and Putin. Netanyahu has the hardest job in the world- keeping Israel safe while the countries that 'have Israel's back' continually stab it in the back. Stop the stupid investigation. To think that the PM could be removed from office for collecting deposits on bottles boggles the imagination. Just remember one thing, come next month you get to vote. Who do you think can truly protect the country? Or maybe some of you think, like Obama's spokes-idiot, that Israel and ISIS and Hamas psychopaths can be made best friends by giving the terrorist murderers a few hugs and some jobs. Bibi may be the only person who really grasps how bad it can get for Israel. And the left's contribution to the security of Israel? "Bibi didn't give back the bottle deposit!"
24. Better chance without the stained:
PeaceIsrael   (02.20.15)
Netanyahu Likud Lieberman Bennett..... These people are not fit to lead a secular democracy. Honest, decent, competent politicians are needed. The LIKUD was finished when Kadima bolted. The LIKUD is hazardous to Israel's health. The LIKUD can not defend Israel, and can not guaranty security and peace.
25. #24,Mindless Leftists worry about bottles not Israel survive
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (02.20.15)
Making a mountain out of a molehill.
26. Here is a man who was given ...
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (02.21.15)
immunity ,and who knows what else. fearing to be implicated by speaking up against his boss ,who fired him for.. abnormal "spendings". Here is a renowned journalist, not an idiot nor an ignorant who takes the words of this man for facts, What for if it doesn't fit in his agenda? I guess the judge did require a thorough investigation of the main witness, that is why most probable the controller's report is not yet ready for publication. Are we going to listen to the journalist and condemn our PM before having seen the report? Barnea should not underestimate the sense of justice of Jews. Shavuah Tov.
27. Tony Blair and Ireland
A McKenna ,   Ireland   (02.23.15)
Nahum, with regard to your recent piece on Tony Blair : the "war in Ireland" was neither "innocent", nor "simple". And, it is not yet over.
