4. Interesting that she focuses on negative people
You go Girl!   (03.10.15)
I have seen so many positive comments congratulating her and saying Hey Lucy we love you. She should focus on the positive people and not the disgruntled ones, who always trash everything, even a recipe for a cake.
5. good for good for israel. damn all racists.
ralph   (03.10.15)
6. All the ethnic groups of Israel need equal representation.
Michael ,   California, USA   (03.10.15)
Jews are one ethnic group, Arabs are another, living side by side as citizens with equal rights in Israel. The Independence Day of Israel is meaningful to all patriotic Israelis equally. She will be equal among all the Israelis participating in Independence Day celebrations. I am joining with all the Israelis who are proud of her role.
7. Funny how we manage to turn almost everything into an act of
(03.10.15)
shaming ourselves. The bottom line one gets from this "innocent" event is: Israel, despite being a racist country ostensibly puts on a show of "equality". If being systematically targeted for extinction by majority of Arab/Muslim population (outside and inside our own country) has brought on sporadic, VERBAL outbursts of frustrated, less educated individuals against members of said Arab community, then all we deserve is to give ourselves a frigging Gold Medal for Human Behavior! If she deserves to light the torch or not, that's another question altogether, why not?
9. khamsa
David N. ,   Haifa, Israel   (03.10.15)
And what is the great significance to wearing the Khamsa?
10. hamsa
Raza   (03.10.15)
Hamsa is an old Muslim/arab symbol which the Jews living in Arab countries copied it, just like they copied other rituals from Muslims. But not surprising that the European zionists like to claim everything as "theirs" and change the history.

This journalist is an inspiration and I am happy that the state of Israel has chosen her to light the candle. Shame to people who attack with racist intention. If wverybody would be as positive and intelligent, than the conflict could be solved and the world as a whole would be a better place.

You are a nice girl, but a women full of talent, staying on this position in the Media, can not give you peace and real success. People will use you in tis field. Why do you not find a diffrent career in which you can use your talent more peacefully, like involement in showbiz, documentary making or a professor/ scholor deleivering lectures on media.
