1. Bechor: this is a simplistic, moronic article.
Rafi ,   US   (05.15.15)
could have been written by a 10 yr old.
2. I can easily understand the frustration of the Europeans
Moshe the Genuine   (05.15.15)
Since 1946, there has not been one pogrom, no genocide, no massacre of the Jews. Even worse, with the mounting threat of the Islamism, the Jews are in process of leaving Europe for safe harbors such Israel. Yes, I can understand the frustration of the Europeans. They can always read again Mein Kamps or the Protocol of the elders of Zion to bring back good old memories.

4. German Foreign Ministers comment.
Arnold ,   Loma Linda, U.S.A.   (05.15.15)
This was a well written criticism of the Foreign Ministers comments. People like the German Foreign Minister are living in denial if they hope for any change to the status quo in Israel under current conditions.
5. Let Germmany show how to be brave and leave NATO

6. Germany can keep its 'friendly advice' to itself
Alexander ,   Israel   (05.15.15)
Thanks God there is someone that is not blind. The world leaders simply closing their eyes on the reality: The alternative to Israel will be ISIS or Al-Qaeda or some other name.... Thanks to USA... and Oslo agreement we have Hamas trying to grab authority over all the land. They announced they will not stop until they will have all Israel. Let the world know the truth ---given a chance they will not stop until they will build Fourth Reich and write the new "Mein Kampf"

Please learn to keep quiet ,in other words ZIP IT .

CJK   (05.15.15)
the issue at hand is political islam and its use of jihad to advance its cause. israel has no intention to go around the globe to blow up innocent civilians while demanding the implementation of sharia law. all israel wants is to be left in peace. the arabs are incapable of maintaining the minimum of peace. they are war like and provocative and when they pay the price, they shout that it is unfair. self defence is never unfair.
9. About Time
Sharbano   (05.15.15)
This is an excellent Op-Ed. The arrogance of the Europeans, and the Quartet for that matter, knows no bounds. Israeli diplomats should also address the semantics of these peace proponents. There are those who speak of a "peace Process". This "process" is nothing but a means for academics et.al. to earn a living in furthering such a process. This is evident by the many administrations that have pursued the same. In addition, the term two-states for two-peoples is incoherent. There are no "two-peoples". The "Palestinian" people are an invented entity. It was invented and promoted by Arab academics. Once Israel confronts these false semantics maybe some will begin to realize the fallacy they are pursuing.
10. actually germany knows better...
tomer ,   jerusalem   (05.15.15)
Yes ,germany knows and does better for israel than you writing "flatland"journalistic rubbish.without germany of today you would not be able to put ink on the paper.you better keep your advice to yourself or get treatment.
11. UNSC Resolution 1701
Ian ,   Newcastle upon Tyne   (05.15.15)
Unless my memory is seriously at fault, the German government was supposed to be ensuring that UNSC Res.1701 is enforced, even offering German naval patrols. That didn't last long and now Hizbollah is illegally entrenched in Southern Lebanon and armed to the teeth. Germany protects German interests, not Israeli interests and certainly not Jewish interests. THREE CHEERS FOR ISRAEL!!!
12. Would it help if the US told you the same?
Shay ,   Merkaz   (05.15.15)
You're already willing to take bribes from the US to shut up about Iran, so maybe that's the way to your heart after all.
13. Could have been written by a10 year old?
Maria ,   New York USA   (05.16.15)
Maybe, but nevertheless 100% true.
14. Well said!

15. The free Palestinian state
Moshe ,   Israel   (05.16.15)
After establishing such entity with 1966 borders, as the Europeans want, Abbas will not have to bring terrorists from abroad. Hhamas will be the ruler there, and it will turn the new state into Gaza Strip B, with more ability to infiltrate Israel and murder innocent civilians, in addition to the missiles and shells.
16. wonder if the writer is for giving all Palestinians equal ri
abdalla ,   usa   (05.17.15)
