1. So its OK to sing AntiSem chants and Jews to the gas?
Alan ,   SA   (07.17.15)
2. beitar Jerusalem outburst
Shira ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (07.17.15)
One has to realize that if one read and saw what occurred, the response of Beitar Jerusalem was due to anti-semitic chants, are we to go to the gas chambers again as lambs? perhaps throwing grenades was not the correct response, but I can certainly understand their feelings!
3. This harms Israel
Dan   (07.17.15)
Not just 'Israeli soccer' — every European will now regard Israeli national racism as having been confirmed. Thank you, idiotic right wing.
4. Beitar Spirit is what the country needs.Euro-thrash is not
(07.17.15)
particularly ashamed of the growing, officially approved antisemitism in the guise of "Anti-Israel-ism" Screw them, I say. They'll still use our inventions and seek our medicine. Yes, it's not a pretty behavior, but we're too bloody PC anyway. All we'll achieve by being exemplary victims of Islamo-fascism/antisemitism, are nice monuments and Memorial Services in our name, when Mr.Obama with the ayatollahs eventually reaches the Final Solution.
5. Wrong
Dorian ,   Usa   (07.17.15)
If soccer has antisemitic or anti Israel chanting then I support disrupting every single game. I can't even believe that is part of soccer for years now. Antisemitic chanting has to go.
6. to fb wildstein
Doña Adler   (07.17.15)
assumption: belgian police throw the smoke granades.
7. To Fbook Johnny Simson
Doña Adler   (07.17.15)
you are soo funny!
8. Beitar has embarressed Israeli football
David ,   Galilee   (07.17.15)
Miri Regev is an embarrassment to the whole of Israel and let's not forget who appointed this uncouth creature a Minister in his Government! Being a right winger is understandable when faced with the danger of Iran and its proxies on our borders and a world, our "friends" in particular, working for the destruction of Israel, the Home of the Jewish People, but to behave like a fascist racist is unacceptable. She must go! Beitar hates Arabs and Miri Regev calls black people cancer! Sounds familiar when you think back to Germany in the 1930's!
9. beitar
rolf ,   holland   (07.17.15)
beitar is a club of scums, racists, and a stain on israel. beitar is a well known club of the lowest layers of the israeli society. shame on beitar. the club should be dissolved.
10. a small group doesn't represent all fans

11. comment on soccer game
Avi ,   yorba linda, CA, USA   (07.17.15)
what's the fuss all about, what's wrong with reacting to those Belgium Nazis? A bit too aggressive? yes, but no reason to "hold back"!
12. the Belgian fans were singing Nazi songs in Israel?
k ,   US   (07.17.15)
Why if this is the case than I am thinking it is justified, or at least why didn't those fans attack the Belgian fans instead of the players? than it would have been 100% Justified
13. Defended Jewish honor by responding to anti-semitic chants
Sam ,   Canada   (07.17.15)
Jews should stop being patsies apologizing for being harassed. Let the world know there is a price to pay for attacking Jews. The Arabs know it. Let everyone else know it too.
14. Ira Gelnik - Throwing smoke grenades "superior force"?
Albrecht ,   EU   (07.17.15)
Throwing smoke grenades on the pitch is in your eyes a "superior force"?
15. Anti Semitic chants?
tiki ,   belgium   (07.17.15)
I absolutely don't defend these football idiots but let's not exaggerate. The Brits/Dutch and other western hooligans take apart complete stadiums & towns and wound/ kill opposite supporters. So, yes it's shameful but so are anti Semitic chants present at every football game. Stop this and Israeli "misbehaviour" will disappear.
16. Their spiritual leader
Raptor   (07.17.15)
Miri Regev.
17. Should they take it and report at the train station
ab   (07.17.15)
- in Belgium with 5 kilo "personal things" ,as Belgians intended? Google " Train in Poland" by one Rawitch ,very fitting gentle ,cultural and obliging Belgian Jews.
18. Not shame but honor, Kol HaKavod.
Murray the K ,   Brooklyn, NY   (07.17.15)
19. betar jerusalem
tomer ,   jerusalem   (07.17.15)
Its simply disgusting what kind of fans we sent overseas to support our soccer teams. The punishment has to be clear: "No participation in international soccer games by Betar jerusalem for next 5 years." miri regev has to push for it as she so well does in other cases. In addition: The performance of the players on the pitch resembled more a wrestling match. Disgusting fouls,no game plan,no soccer, nothing what comes close to soccer and this against a second class oponent. Our betar players ran out of steam soon after the second half started. A discgrace. Better stay at home and save us this "blamage"
20. Beitar Fans
Carole Gold ,   Georgetown, TX   (07.17.15)
This is what extremism looks like regardless of race, religion or ideology. Its shameful whenever and wherever it occurs and reflects neither the true spirit and nature of Israel nor the teachings of Judaism. It does, however, give the detractors and anti-Semites fertile ground for condemnation. These "fans" should be ostracized.
21. Nazi songs treated with indiference
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (07.18.15)
and media and Jews taking sides with nazis ,should cause outrage and shame. Teach our boys, how to react next time in a proper way , You don't want to turn Jewish young wolves into sheep
22. Why the shock and surprise?
Disillusioned   (07.17.15)
Hooliganism has for a long time been associated with drunkenness and violence. Europe should hardly be shocked. Anyone who has witnessed the behavior of some British and Dutch teams knows only too well what they're capable of. The Beitar team behavior, and that of its fans, has, however, been under the spotlight for years. It's bad enough being Neanderthals within the country, but taking it into the world arena, at a time when Israel's image is at an all-time low, is unacceptable and should not go unpunished. The team itself has a poor reputation for racism, and attracts similarly-minded fans. If they can't learn proper social behavior, they deserve to be closed down. Apologists may well point out that there was provocation, but one must ask how and why Beitar fans came to that match prepared, with smoke bombs, for a showdown, as though hoping there would be something to allow them to use these things. There is little point in using the anti-Semitic slogans and gestures that have also, disgustingly, become part of football culture. That they are sub-human scum should not mean that it's not possible to rise above such low conduct. Beitar Jerusalem has been plagued by ugliness for a very long time and it's time to pull the plug on the team and its disgusting "fans". All this aside, we also know that there is a culture of tolerance towards bad behavior in Israel. Rudeness is shrugged at, pushing other human beings, children yelling at their parents rather than the other way round. Parents do nothing, teachers do nothing, police do nothing, judges do nothing Nobody needs to be surprised that bad behavior is considered to be nothing more than "this is who we are." One need only watch the appalling boorishness seen in Knesset sessions to understand that Beitar Jerusalem is merely representative of a wider problem.
23. Gelnik fbook
Doña Adler   (07.17.15)
you are right! europeans fans must learn to respect Beitar Jerusalem. que es lo se creen los belgas del carajo! but throwing smoke granades? maybe was the belgian police antisemits provocation 2;?!@&!!! be completely sure that Israel & the mossad will investigate the issue. Am Israel Hai!
24. Kudos to all beitar fans!
Alan ,   USA   (07.18.15)
Down with the damn anti-Semitic European trash! The creatures who populate that sickening continent are venomous to the core. Hatred of Jews is in their DNA. They are ill and there is no cure for their terminal condition.
25. Beitar Fan Behavior
Jerry Blaz ,   Tarzana, CA   (07.19.15)
It reminds me of the time back in the 1940s, when high school basketball teams vied with school teams with high Jewish player participation, and because they couldn't beat us on the court they waylaid us as we left the schools and attacked us. Nothing has changed but the ethnicity. Hooligans are hooligans are hooligans and they don't make their teams better, just notorious.
26. Israelis in Denial
Tal ,   TelAviv   (07.18.15)
alf of the Israelis overseas bring shame on Israel. Half of Israelis inside Israel bring shame too. It is a country where antisocial behavior has turned into the norm, due partly to the lack of law inforcement. And all the self righteous souls here who are actually justifying this dispacable behavior and dont believe a jew can do anything wrong are guilty of the same crime and will be Israel's downfall.
27. 22 desillusioned ,The europeen...
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (07.19.15)
of today are in a lower level as 50 years ago, since they had to integrate populations of a lower level. This happened in Israel too.The Israelis who are since few generations here are very well educated and are great people.
28. It is about time the hateful European hitlerites
David ,   USA   (07.19.15)
finally came to realization that in 2015 the Jew their beloved ancestors abused, forced out of his home and put on a train to Auschwitz only to turn him into soap does no longer exist.
29. Nothing like an armchair general
Donna ,   Ra'anana   (07.20.15)
talking rubbish from the US. Try living in Israel pal, like I do, and experiencing the disintegration of Israeli youth. Kids here are awful. I would never take my son to a local football game because the macho bullshit lives free. There is NO place for flares and fighting at a match. It defames the country and the team, (although Beitar are racist scum, so who cares about them.) You want to show your anti-defamation muscles, General, go take up boxing.
30. Don't refer to Beitar fans as Jews
Avi ,   NYC, USA   (07.20.15)
They are imported Jewish Arabs. It is time to send them back to their countries.
