you forget the essential point that the methane is produced anyway as used food rots, so all they are doing is getting some use out of the already produced gas. Therefore it is most definitely a green fuel.
I actually saw this in incubator a couple of years ago, as one of the founders is my wife's best friend's husband. Even then could see this was going to be a success.
