which will end up with Hamas and Fatah firing rockets into Jerusalem and Tel Aviv all day long.
2. netnyahu has no ability to take a tough decision
geroge   (10.26.15)
don't hold your breath on netanyhu doing anything dramatic. \he is like herzog, easy to push to concessions. He is so happy about cameras on the temple mount, he never thought about who controls the tapes. \i the jordanians do, the tapes will be altered to pin the blame on settlers who would be arabs dressed in jewish garb. \what a dumbbell, bibi hasson and herzog.
3. No, Prime Minister Mr. Netanyahu canNOT do this. 1of3
Jew-C ,   JewLandia (Israel)   (10.26.15)
N.B. this TB has been divided into three parts because it won't go through as it is too long. he is prevented from doing so by the following laws: 1. "In 1967 the Unification of Jerusalem Law" passed the Knesset and all legal tests. This law declares that: a. all areas liberated by the IDF which had previously been under Jordanian dominion and/or under the dominion of Great Britain and had been either in or adjacent to Jerusalem are declared by law to be part of Jerusalem and also part of the State of Israel. That is these areas are part of the municipality of Jerusalem, Israel and all people living in these areas by virtue of their PHYSICAL RESIDENCE are residents of Jerusalem FOREVER. The only way to remove their residency is by their own action that is if they PHYSICALLY remove themselves by their own decision for a period of seven (7) years. (2 additional parts follow)
4. No, Prime Minister Mr. Netanyahu canNOT do this. 2of3

N.B. this TB has been divided into three parts because it won't go through as it is too long. 2. "The Basic Law: Jerusalem, Capital of Israel" passed in 5740 (which corresponds to year 1980) during the tenure of Prime Minister Mr. Begin (Likud Party) affirms and reconfirms the above law in its entirety. And further stipulates: "5. The jurisdiction of Jerusalem includes, as pertaining to this basic law, among others, all of the area that is described in the appendix of the proclamation expanding the borders of municipal Jerusalem beginning the 20th of Sivan 5727 (June 28, 1967), as was given according to the Cities' Ordinance. 6. No authority that is stipulated in the law of the State of Israel or of the Jerusalem Municipality may be transfered either permanently or for an allotted period of time to a foreign body, whether political, governmental or to any other similar type of foreign body.
5. No, Prime Minister Mr. Netanyahu canNOT do this. 3of3

N.B. this TB has been divided into three parts because it won't go through as it is too long. 7. Clauses 5 and 6 shall not be modified except by a Basic Law passed by a majority of the members of the Knesset." this means that in order for the Prime Minister to do as he has indicated he must have a majority of 61 members of Knesset voting in favor of his action. But in the year 5761 (which corresponds to year 2000) during the term of Prime Minister Mr. Barak the Knesset passed an amendment to number 7 above. That amendment states that to carry out any changes to the Basic Law: Jerusalem, Capital of Israel the Prime Minister needs a 80 members of Knesset to vote in favor of the change AND a plebiscite of all the Citizens of Israel must be held. Meaning that Prime Minister Mr. Netanyahu CANNOT by the stroke of his pen carry out this change he has proposed.

10.  A Kach Policy ? Kahane must be smiling !
Roland ,   london England   (10.26.15)
...This leads to the question which I cannot answer...Why this extremist party should be banned under today's circumstances.?It is the public that has the right to make their assessment as to Kach's policy which may or may not be good for them. After all,the public has been wisened up by this on-going killing spree and must not be made to be taken for being fools..Some arabs are more militant and are prepared to carry them out. than the views expressed by Rabbi Kahane, which deserves the severest of sanction imposed on them.Netanyahu is bringing forward a democratic point and so did Kahane.
11. i have a question....
Joy   (10.26.15)
What is residence status? is the same than the ID card? If the Palestinian Authority (PA) has no right to issue West Bank and Gaza IDs, and PA is not a palestinian State yet, who is going to issue residence statuses or Palestinians ID cards to those that Israel revoke ID residencies in East Jerusalem? -It is true that last year (2014) the PA decided to abolish religious affiliation from PA ID cards, alleging the Palestinian Basic Law prohibits discrimination on the basis of religion and ethnicity? - If thats true, why the PA discriminates and prohibits access to the temple mount on the basis of religion or ethnicity?-
12. King Bibi the Weak "considers", "raises possibility",
A ,   Belgium   (10.26.15)
"raised the need to examine", but will he actually do anything to guarantee the security of Israeli citizens, including in ALL of the capital city of Jerusalem? Doubtful.

14. Row row row the boat
Sammy ,   Newcastle   (10.26.15)
The so called 1999 Plan for Palestinian Statehood is at last being talked about openly as a real option for a Palestinian State A Palestine created from an expanded Gaza through land exchanges with Israel for West Bank and possible purchases of territory from Egyptian Sinai A contiguous physical unified State that potentially may be larger than Lebanon with access to Off Shore Oil and substantial viable agricultural land...not to mention some of the best coastline in the world What we want is for the key players Egypt, Gaza, Israel, PA and Jordan to come together to at least seriously examine the viability of the Plan And supposing all parties conclude that this Palestinian Plan of 1999 is viable and in the best Palestinian National Interest? A Palestinian friend put it this way Think of a Rowing Boat as the Israel-Palestine Peace Process As things stand now Israel rows one way and Palestinians the other Result? STANDSTILL But put all the Players Egypt, Gaza, Israel, PA and Jordan all rowing in the SAME direction toward the 1999 Plan and we could get to our destination in the blink of an eye! To borrow a North East phrase.. And that when OUR boat comes in!
15. the knifers, the rocket throwers, etc...are not lone wolves

16. Don't mince words
Ian ,   Newcastle upon Tyne   (10.26.15)
Cancelling residency means taking up residency...elsewhere. THREE CHEERS FOR ISRAEL!!!
17. Jew-C
c   (10.26.15)
the expanded authority of israel over united jerusalem did not confer automatic residency. redisency was confirred by law. citizenship was offered but rejected by the majority. the issue of revocation is purely political in nature.
18. why only 80,000?
les ,   canada   (10.27.15)
why not cancel it for ALL? than give a chance to all, whom willing to swear loyalty to the STATE OF ISRAEL, and to be law abiding and productive citizens. the rest to be resettled to their choice of ARAB country!
19. =14,Sammy...when the boat comes in
Ian ,   Newcastle upon Tyne   (10.27.15)
"You shall have a fishy on a little dishy You shall have a fishy when the boat comes in You shall have a herring on a little dishy You shall have a herring when the boat comes in" If the PA/PLO wants to make any progress at all,Abbas and his PA/Fatah/PLO cronies had better stop dreaming unrealistic expectations and stop making unrealistic demands. They'll have to come to terms with accepting whatever is offered no matter how far short of their expectations it falls because they are entitled to precisely NOTHING. There is NO legal basis whatsoever for the formation of another Arab State in Mandate Palestine but there is a solid legal basis for a Jewish State from the Mediterranean to the Jordan...the Mandate itself. THREE CHEERS FOR ISRAEL!!!
20. Wait until obama is gone
(10.28.15)
then just DO IT! The only problem Israel has ( As well as America ) is obama. Israel will eventually be Arab pal free. Why? Because that's what both Israeli Jews and Arabs want.
