Allowing Chinese students to attend undergrad and graduate school in Israel has benefits and a downside too. It is obvious that the value of Chinese students going through a cross cultural pollination with Israeli society has incalculable benefits in the short and long term. Universities will have a large population that will pay full, unsubsidized tuition. Dorms will be built to accommodate these wealthy students. The downside is that they will take up a lot of seats of qualified Israeli students who may be less desirable from a financial perspective. There are only so many seats in a graduate class. In the USA we are seeing too many graduate positions going to foreign students.

China graduates more engineers every few years than Israel has as in total population. And these are not dumb engineers, but engineers that are every bit as creative as Israelis. USA companies have already learned that doing business with China is NOT a "magic elixir" but a very tenuous thing where over the long term everyone but China loses. Can anyone tell me why Israelis are so blind to the extreme danger of trading with China? This is NOT going to end well for Israel.

China has to feed billions and it needs help in developing its economy
As for Europe Sweden is a classic example of Immense Cowardice .
After supplying Iron ore in loads to the Nazis they took in few Jews from 1933-1943 .
Only as the tide turned to a allied victory did they take in the Danish Jews knowing the Nazis were too overextended to carry out reprisals .
Sweden had heroes like Raoul Wallenberg but the main core did nothing even at no risk .
