The Israelis have made an immense recovery from the ashes of the Shoah . Despite malicious aggression from a malignantly mutated Islam which blocked millions of European Jewry refuge in Mandated Palestine and Turkey and other Islamic lands with vast empty spaces the Jews rebuilt. Now all efforts for survival in a moral way have to be strengthened .

I'm 62 year old and in 1970, when I was 16 there were no buildings higher than 3-4 stories in Israel, except for a few older hotels. The progress is stunning and a testimony to the Jewish people. Could the Palestinians have done this had they not waged war? Probably, if they had the right leadership that cared about their people, but now - after self pity, anger, violence and rage has become institutionalized in their society - I doubt they will ever become a state in the normal sense. Sad, but actions do have consequences. It will take generations of peaceful co-existence before they can ever live with Israel and that is the best case scemerio.
