When I lived in the USA and Empire Kosher Poultry was sighted for mistreatment of its employees I stopped buying their products. Finding alternatives was extremely difficult, but I managed. I then asked a woman I know who herds goats if she could get a goat to the Shochet. She tried for several years. The cost and the expense of getting one goat to ritual slaughter was beyond the pail. The time has come for us to find legitimate alternatives that adhere to halacha. I mean how ridiculous is it that the Chicago Rabbinical Council can rule fresh raspberries and blackberries as unkosher? Where in the Torah are these fruits forbidden? If they were kosher 100 years ago they should be kosher today. And if we didn't know if it was kosher 100 years ago then fine come up with a rabbinical ruling. Quinoa is a good example of that. But let's get the graft out and put some logic into Kashrut
