The story reads that 264 students from 66 countries competed, and we got the silver and the bronze medal. Why don't you - Shahar Chai, the author - add that there were 58 silver medals and 82 bronze medals awarded? Honestly, having one silver and one bronze medal awarded at an IChO, and having two other kids come back with nothing is a rather mediocre result (especially provided the country's top ranks in other areas). There were representatives of countries such as Uzbekistan, Vietnam, Thailand, Latvia, Lithuania and Kazakhstan who did better than each of the four Israelis. Why don't you add that China got four gold medals, and Russia, Romania, Taiwan, and Korea each won three golds! So stop bragging about a silver and a bronze medal and let us see how we can improve in the next editions. Ever since I can remember Israelis have done miserably at the IChO (with the exception of Assaf Mauda several years ago). Whoever is responsible for training the kids for the IChO should realize this is not looking great.
