What he did was bad. But, after 30 years, leave the poor guy alone. Let him at least try to make up for the lost years - let him spend a quiet life in israel wwith his wife

The only description to apply to the US administration attitude to Pollard when compared to the far worse damage done to the US by others including their own Presidents is........spiteful, nasty and without precedent.
The US believes that it is the arbiter of truth and morality and we all know how far from reality that is.

So many different stories about him. From "the breadth and scope of the classified information that (Pollard) sold... was the greatest compromise of US security to that date" -- to "He didn't try in any way to harm the US". --- I'll assume the worse. --- OK, restrict him to the US for a few years while on probation. However, I'd still like him to be able to attend synagogue, etc.. He's paid his time. 30 years is a long time to serve.
7. why hasn't some wealthy person
david ,   hadera   (09.30.16)
either purchased for the Pollards an apartment. Or at least rented them one. There must be many rich Americans Jews who could help them to live in something more than 1 room
