stop blaming the military-.the Intel had enough warning to start calling the reserves.its the politicians that screwed up .they blamed the chief of staff "DADO".i was a soldier in that war .i will never forget the inside fighting within the Military. What a shame !!!! the politics of the labor party!!! Disgusting !!!!
Blaming others for their own failures .we are still suffering today from that war
2. One more empty wording

One more empty wording to fill some page and to appear on media in order to get some free (but payed for) publicity (consulting or politics).

Good, so the top screwed it big time.

We all know it already, Agranat commission made it public for all to know, thank you Giora, it's even in school books already.

And sweet in the end the author of this "article" clears his own, declaring that intelligence's mistakes are "natural human weakness" while other's mistakes (ignorance) are "unforgivable".

Good to know, most probably Bibi Blue Hair will say the same, that PM has some kind of "human nature" but that everybody else is "unforgivable", thus justifying one more Bibi's purge.

BTW
Giora isn't saying anything about that other fashla a few years ago in Lebanon ... the ones to be blamed are still around maybe?

Soviet missile batteries for which Israel had no answer.

Israel had the answer for the Sams
5. TIME TO TELL THE TRUTH !
FO ,   Belgium   (10.10.16)
Israel was at that period in an electoral campaign. The Left in power with Golda Meir as PM came out with the motto "you never had it so good". Difficult in this case to order a full mobilization, while hoping the Arabs will understand that it is not the right time for Israel to enter into a war. Total irresponsible behavior! The rest is history...

I am still alive, so why lie to me in my face. On Thursday we were sitting in the trucks waiting for the authorisation to leave Sinai and go home for Kippur. On Friday morning we already received reserve reinforcement. We all knew that the war is going to brake-up. We saw the Egyptians moving forces an dusting off their anti aerial missiles. We are the famous unit Yod from battalion 79 who lost 90% of its soldiers in the first 24 hours. We know the F* Americans warned us not to attack first or we lose the international community support. Our war was fought in the diplomatic channels, while the government sacrificed 3000 brave men to satisfy the international public opinion. We were ready, our tanks were ready, our spirits were high. We just returned from practice. We waited the order to decimate them. Instead we were instructed to leave some 50 new recruits ( February 73) at the shores of the Suez Canal and the rest to return to base. The Israeli government is accomplice to the most heinous plot to kill 3000+ Israeli soldiers in order to appease the americans and their petrol suppliers. I left after the war and never set foot again.
7. Yom Kippur War

Heads did roll after the war. There were the Ashkenazi demonstrations. The Labor party echelon was disgraced and eventually removed. Dayan was disgraced. In 1977 Begin won the elections. He was in the opposition for 32 years. The monopoly of the left was broken. It never really recovered political strength after this demise. It was a horrific time. Fathers and sons died, brothers and brother-in-laws died. Whole families were devastated. Even now, the subject is very painful. M.
