How is that any different to the situation now...at least with the status of Jerusalem being acknowledged as the absolute capital of Israel and recognised as such by the US will at the very least ensure that the so called Pals receive a dose of realism when they make their perpetual demands which they know will be totally unacceptable to Israel.

Obama has spent the past 8 years refusing to stand up to Abbas now now he thinks he is the most important man in the world and is getting ready to start dictating to the next president although I have a feeling Trump will not let the leader of an artificial entity dictate terms to him. That said maybe Abbas wants to do us all a favour and walk away from the French peace conference which Netanyahu has refused to attend.

Until the Palestinians unify there will never be a two-state solution. Israel does their best to keep Hamas and the PA from unifying. It is an endless cycle. If you anticipate any peace process happening ...... you are a dreamer. Just move on.

West Jerusalem was never on the negotiating table. Jerusalem will always be the capital of Israel in whatever form it takes (with or without East Jerusalem). So all embassies are welcome to move to the eternal capital of Israel and the Pals don't have a leg to stand on.
