7. B'Tselem, the guardian of our humanity.
tiki ,   belgium   (01.12.17)
In contrast to what the writer believes HUMANITY in Israel is written in capital characters and something to wear in pride.

In comparison to most Western countries, humanity in Israel is tangible & real and not only uttered in politically correct language.

The test for humanity in the EU can be 'admired' every day for those who want to look and not look away which is the common standard adopted.

How Israeli society has absorbed millions of immigrants is something the EU can take as an example.

How in Israel the elderly & sick are being treated (although far from perfect) in many of the rich EU countries their fate is far, far worse.....but pushed out of sight.

Taking B'Tselem as an example and Guardian of Humanity is an insult to humanity and our intelligence.

Just like Abu Mazen isn't the Angel of Peace as he was called by the angel from the Vatican, so is B'Tselem not the guardian of Israeli humanity but the wannabe destroyer of it.

my first question will be, how come this guy was here and knew he will have a great action film to shout? he knew in advance something was happening and he will make the news? he benefited from inside information of a terrorist attack? it was " by chance" he was here to remind us our etic and humanity?? if this is so, this guys is a traitor in my world Israel is at war and if this guy is having access to information of terrorist attack and take advantage of it to " make the news" in the name of democracy and free lib of info, this is not right and we should ask this guy to go under investigation.
I am amazed, our "media" could write an article to "show the world Israel is ethical.... we do not have to justify anything to anybody. it reminds me the Hellenic period, where the Jews start assimilation to look good and align themselves to the Greek. this is why those anti Israel organism must be checked from the inside and understand their funding and their "pure" interest. they are manipulating the image to make sure they align with the anti Israel European politics. I am a shame we carry this attitude in our country.
Azaria should be free and we should reinforce our people and military instead of " saying the anti-Semitic world" what they want to hear. Wake up Israel, I came back to Israel for a purpose and we must show our unity instead of giving space to those organism to take us apart.
9. 50 years of occupation are destroying Israel's morality.
Stan ,   Israel   (01.12.17)
The victims of this occupation are the Palestinians and the young soldiers who are sent to police them. They are the victims of extremist politicians and messianic rabbis who are destroying our beloved country.
10. betselem
ian   (01.11.17)
betselm belongs in the garbage, 100%. the court ruled in azaria case, if he wants to appeal he can, and yvet should not involve giving legal advice. if azari wants to cut a deal with the prosecutor, fine.

betselem is rotten to the core.
11. B'tselem not guardian of democracy, journalist stunt
Avi L.   (01.12.17)
While B'tselem is not the guardian of democracy.

This journalist writes borderline articles in order to make a name for himself as a polemist, spinning partial facts beyond any sense.

B'tselem seems to "investigate" only Israeli mischiefs it doesn't seem to "investigate" incitement, call to murder and actual violence by "falastinians".

If the writers feels rightfully justified he could call for the creation of minister of selfrighteousness whith him as minister and B'tselem as executive branch, with powers ranging from police thought to command of troops on the ground.

By the way nobody saw B'tselem defending the Ethiopian Israeli soldier savagely beaten by undercover police near T.A central station, soldier who became an officer.

B'tselem is a partisan organisation, it's NOT a defender of our democracy.

The arabs / palestinians consider all of your beloved country to be occupied and they consider all israelis to be occupiers ,which includes your good but naive self. And if you do not believe ,simply go ask them .

16. the attempt to criminalise war
C   (01.12.17)
the purpose of the laws of war and of the geneva conventions is not
to outlaw or to criminalise war. the purpose of the laws of war is
essentially to try to protect civilian populations whenever possible
and to protect prisoners of war whenever possible.
the laws of war do not protect illegal combatants or terrorists.

private individuals or groups, especially those funded by foreign
sources and governments, cannot supplant the democratically
elected government of the state.
b'tzelem's sole purpose is to defame and to delegitimize the jewish
state of israel. they are ideologically driven and are pro-palestinians.
they are hoping to accumulate sufficient "bad" acts by the idf
so as to convince the icc to indict israelis.
obviously, they are not interested in preventing acts of violence.
they are interested only in documenting bad acts.
they are never interested in documenting arab palestininan terror.
they are not there when there is a knifing, a bombing, a terror
truck attack. indeed, b'tzelel is a pro-palestinian organization.

18. B'Tselem is looking out for humanity. What a joke.
C ,   M   (01.14.17)
The people at B'Tselem for sure are proud of this acheivement. They got one, one unlucky bloke with a press of a button. They are ecstatic, and they're hungry for more. But whose humanity are they really looking out for? Do they really care about the humanity of the people of Israel, who seemt to bend over backwards with political correctness, by Arabs integrating into its society, educating them, employing them, enabling them to own businesses, lifting them out of poverty, etc.? Or do they really care about the humanity of the Arabs, where they are under the constant thumb of their leaders, used as human shields, coerced under the guise of the religion?
